ive got smoke coming out of my exhaust and im having difficulties trying to figure out what it is. this is the only thing left for my car to run like its supposed to. but i dont think its my af mixture because the exhaust smoke doesnt have an odd smell to it. its not the coolant, i changed my head gasket and i know what smoke looks like on a car with a blown headgasket. im thinking it may have something to do with the turbo except if done as much as i can to eliminate it. i switched from -4 lines to -3. still smoking. checked my drain and switched it around and routed it to drain better. but my main question here is, is my oil return line inconvenient for oil flow?

no kinks but notice at the very bottom of my hose, it kind of dips slightly downward. now is this dip extreme enough to cause smoke to come out of my exhaust. i checked the intercooler piping and no signs of oil. someone help?!

Do you still have stuff in your exhaust when the h/g blew? Could be burning whatever is in there. What conditions are you smoking (heavy load, first start up, etc).

its more likely your turbo. blew mines last summer. drove me crazy trying to figure out what all the smoke was. if your running the stock turbo the seals usually burn out at some point. good luck.

my headgasket never blew. but before i boosted it, i changed out the headgasket since half of my motor was disassembled. nothing really is coming out of the exhaust, it just blows a puff of smoke. a white thin cloud of smoke at idle. and every time i shift gears it would puff that cloud of smoke. it doesnt smell rich or anything. im sure its just oil burning but i have a restrictor on my lines. the drain isnt the best but its all downwards in slope besides that last dip right before the oil pan. but im not really sure if that would cause this amount of smoke. thanks guys.

is it constant or only when you let off the throttle? i know when my car was letting out white smoke only when i let off the throttle it turned out to be my turbo.

so its the turbo...??? but doesnt the seals reseat? i checked out my car again, and it seems like theres condensation? on the walls of the exhaust tip are what looks like sweat dripping down kobes forehead after a game. im trying to find little details that will lead me toward the source of the problem. but if you think its the turbo pep323. im gonna go with your word and buy another one and put that in. i hope your right because i frown upon those who use "trust me".
and it starts from letting off the throttle and ends after throttle. then once it goes past 3k in rpm, the smoke kinda disappears.

the more i drive it, the more i noticed that it is blue smoke. blown turbo? also, may have a boost leak. once it hits 5psi, boost drops.

my turbo outlet doesnt have any signs of oil, does that mean my turbo seals arent blown? or is that still possible with no signs of oil?

it was the turbo. oil was coming out of the inlet side. but no signs of oil through. took off the whole assembly and there was slight oil on the walls of the coupler. but its still smoking after each rev. im leaning towards my drain line not being so perfect. so just an update here.

From what I remember and from what has been mentioned....it sounds like valves seals are going. Turbo seals (depending on how bad the leak is) will also have oil in your intercooler lines. GL with the diagnose.
