Need feedback on design direction...

so...ive been thinking about where to take dorkidori in the near future...and i may have the opportunity to take advantage of some new printing methods (depending on my retailers right now)

i came up with this idea and i wanted some feedback on it...

i get the feeling some of you will love it and others will absolutely hate it...i would personally love to be able to start printing stuff to this level of realism for you guys...the pricing on the shirts would increase a bit...but NO ONE has done this sort of thing with car apparel yet...and i would love to do this with my favorite car ever...kouki 180sx ;)

I think its too busy. I like the idea of realism. If it was just one car on the side of the shirt under the arm i would dig it.

It's a bit too symetrical for a car shirt. I mean I agree with some, it has a sort of affliction flavor to it, but maybe less symetrical would be better. I do like the idea of how the image is so big though and how it's on the arms and such.

well remember guys...one thing regarding the affliction stuff and how this looks like it...this would be specifically for YOU...not the guidos...not the muscle bound mexican guys...not the swole up meat heads at the gym...they wouldnt have access to it...only you guys would...so just because it resembles that art style a bit doesnt mean the affliction people would be purchasing these shirts ;)

actually this is simulated process...4 color would be complete overkill for this job...its 2-3 colors at most

i wouldnt have this printed with plastisol (what i normally print with)...it would be a waterbase and discharge job (white being discharge and blue being water based)...it would feel like cloth when you got it...i have both water based and discharge at the shop...but we havent really learned how to use them yet...theyre fairly difficult to print with in small runs and in the heat/dryness of vegas...water based inks require that you use a solution with them to keep them alive...otherwise they will dry out in the screens and clog the mesh in the screen itself

based on the pricing im getting from various shops...this shirt looks like its going to wind up being $22.50-$25.00 per shirt shipped (all over printing isnt cheap)

i will need to get 50 orders for it initially to make it a reality though

I think it looks good just a bit too much graphics if its the front side of the shirt...maybe some graphics on the sleeve won't be bad like if it said rps13 or something like that would be cool.

the other designs were looking fantastic....this is not,sorry just giving honest feedback,yes too affliction,mma,tribalish stuff. Maybe go with different series,already looks like you are, that would keep the product going strong and appeal to some of those who like the aforementioned,and thus would be superexcited about the new tee's.
I will say it is great work and props on keeping an open mind to designs.

Very nice concept!! To many things going on around the collar area, I suggest bringing it down a tad bit, or leaving the middles car only and putting the rear of the car behind the shirt d= but besides that, awesome shirt!!

this is going to be a fron design only guys...if i did something grandious on the rear it would doube the price of the shirt...all over printing is not cheap at all...i dont like the idea of having to charge over $20.00 for this shirt as it is (i dont like pricing t-shirts over $20.00 period...if you guys have noticed i try to keep them as cheap possible for everyone)...there will be a normal dorkidori logo on the rear though ;)

I don't even have an S13 and I love it. I have no idea what the hell "affliction" is, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the types of shirts that tools and meatheads wear like Ed Hardy, Tapout and such. I'm not exactly buff, but I have a broad back and shoulders so I guess I'd 'fit' well into this type of shirt (pun intended). Anyways, it was said before but make an S14 kouki (maybe zenki too) design and that would seal the deal. I'd buy one FO SHO!!

give it time guys...this is a test run to find myself a printer who i can work with and who can handle these jobs that will output the quality i am looking for

if the S13 shirt is a success ill look at doing an S14 shirt...i will warn you guys though...with these designs...i have to fulfill a large quantity order of 50-75 shirts to even BEGIN printing them...and with the s14 crowd its hard for me to get a lot of you guys to pick up the shirts because kouki guys wont touch the zenki shirts and vice versa...if i do an S14 shirt...you guys will have to get past that idea because i am NOT doing 2 different shirts for 2 different front ends...the shirt will most likely end up being a kouki design...so you jellybean folk will have to settle with the kouki face S14 shirt
