Has anyone used Spec-v(from a 2003) wheels on their S13? I just got a set with 225/45/17 tires on em, and am having an issue. The rears fit just fine. However, the fronts rub the shock. The fronts hit on both my cars,(onoe with stock shocks, one with GR-2's) Im assuming im gonna need longer studs and some spacers to get em to clear? Anyone got any input?

I'm also planning on getting a set of coilovers within the next week or so...and I'm thinking that just getting the coilovers the tires may clear, seeing as how they wont have that massive spring perch like the factory/GR2 shocks do.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated....or if I have over looked my search, and there is another thread with my answers, please link me.

You need spacers. Spec V wheel offsets are to high.

We've discussed this a million times. Spec V wheels are like a +47 offset, you need something like a 15mm spacer to clear coilovers. Even with that it looks like shit.

You absolutely, positively do not need spacers for 2003 spec V wheels. I have been running Spec V wheels with no spacers just fine on my S13 for years, both with stock suspension and Stance coilovers. The offsets are not too high. Is it your wheels or tires hitting? I'm assuming its your tires, because I'm running 215/45/R17 tires up front.
