I just had a Crimestopper alarm installed that came with the Autostart feature. You can start your car like 70 feet away. It's pretty cool, like in the mornings, just push the Autostart button so you can warm your car up before you go off somewhere, and no ones going to be able to get inside your car if the alarm is on. Once you get inside your car, just put the key in and into the Ignition mode, and you can drive off. I also use it to scare unsuspecting people looking inside my car, i just hit the button and laugh at their reactions when my car starts, but no ones in the car ;)

anybody else have Autostart?

My mom got one on her car, and my bro has one. I want to get one for my car at the end of summer, or atleast get an alarm and remote unlock.

That's why you don't get auto start with a manual, even if the brake was up it would still buck a little because there is no use of the clutch when starting.

This has been discussed before. If its in neutral and u start it, it will be fine. The whole clutch down thing was a saftey thing.

I know someone with an autostarter thats got a manual car. He loves it, just makes sure to either not let anyone else start it, if its in gear.

on my autostart (yes a manual) if the cars in gear it wont start. car has to be in neutral. its a substitute for the clutch saftey switch. I've actually gotten so used to not pressing the clutch when I start the car that it takes me a few tries on other peoples cars cause I keep forgetting to push the clutch.

my cars a manual, so i dont have to press the clutch in, it is kinda dangerous though, if you leave it in gear, but oh well, haha
