I bought my 1.5 way kaaz super q for my s13 and now it doesnt seem to fit in my pumpkin. The diff i took out was the stock open diff and the part # for the kaaz is SAN2655.
I talked to the guy at kaaz and he said sometimes you need to buy shims to get it adjusted correctly but that is a damn big gap. Im not supposed to shim that big gap am I and if so what size shims do i start with?
Any info will be greatly appreciated before i try to return this thing and make myself look like an ass.THX

no output shafts yet. I was just getting it lined up to see if the oem shims would still work. Its not bolted down or anything. I was going to get it all set up to measure my backlash and such when i found the oem shims dont come anywhere close to fitting.

so what you're saying is that your aftermarket part doesn't fit like OEM? go figure.

How am i supposed to finish it? I cant put the output shafts in before i measure my backlash and i cant measure my backlash because i have that huge space to fill. I would love to hear from someone that has actually put a kaaz 1.5 way in there s13 pumpkin.
no im not saying it doesnt fit like oem im saying it doesnt look like it fits at all.

that is a stock open diff. i don't see how the spacing is any different from the kaaz and the stock. shim it.

you're missing a bearing spacer not a shim
