So I'm deciding to let my 240SX go because honestly, I've lost interest and the car is boring me to death. Its 100% reliable and never needs any work, but I'm in school and not working so no money to modify it, or do anything fun.
-Its a 1990 SE hatchback with every option from the factory except ABS. It has a clean title, and no accidents. The automatic transmission is pretty lame, but it works perfect and never has any problems. The car was never raced, drifted, or anything like that.
-It has 225k miles on the odometer, but basically everything that wears has been replaced recently. The engine itself has under 100k on it, and compression is within 5psi of factory spec in all 4 cylinders.
-The color is Cherry Red, but the car will need a paint job to look nice. The stock hatch had rust under the wing, so it was replaced with a perfect condition hatch, but it is the brighter red color. The passenger side door skin and fender were also replaced with ones in perfect condition because the old ones had a few unsightly dents. The door is black, and the fender is the same red as the hatch.
-The car does need 2 things for the body before it is ready for paint. There was a patch of rust about 4 inches long behind the passenger side wheel, so it was cut out so the rust would not spread farther. Most aftermarket bumpers cover up that area if you're into that, but if not then you will need to grab a patch piece for the quarter panel and weld it in. The driver's side door was also backed into while it was parked and there is a dent about 8 inches long, so the skin on that side will also be replaced.
-The car has the stock 15" alloy wheels, but one of the front wheels were bent and it was replaced by a base model steel wheel with a cover to match the rest of them. All of the tires match, but to pass inspection you will need to replace the fronts.
-About 3 weeks ago I had a brand new windshield installed because there was a crack that was getting larger in the original one. All of the trim was replaced with it and it looks really nice. No rock chips, scratches, nothing.
-No modifications were ever made to the car, it has been an excellent daily driver and has never let me down once. Its also great on gas which is a plus.
-Nothing is broken on the car, everything works great from the pop-up headlights, to the power windows, door locks, mirrors, cruise control, etc.
-The A/C was converted from R12 to R134 not to long ago, but the relay is broken so you just need to pop a new one of them in and you'll have ice cold air conditioning.
-The interior is super super clean, I've taken really good care of it. All of the carpet was removed and an undercoating was applied to the floor and trunk for sound deadening. While everything was out, it was cleaned like heck and looks really good. The only things not perfect in the interior are the drivers seat bolster is worn like on all of them, and the recliner will only go in certain positions. Also the dash has a single crack right above the gauges.
-There are no electrical problems with the car, all the light and functions were perfect, all the buttons work, etc. It really is a worry-free car that you can daily drive and be happy about.
-There is rust in the common places on the driver's side frame rail, and in the wheel wells, so it is not a rust-free car. There is however no rust anywhere on the body, none on or around the strut towers, none on the hatch, fenders, rockers, etc.
-The factory sunroof recently had the glass and all its trim replaced so there is no leaking of any sort.
-The trunk carpet was replaced with mint condition carpet, and the hatch latch was replaced because the old one was getting a little sticky.
-There was an extensive amount of maintenance recently done on the car in the past few months. This includes new wiper blades, new pcv valve and pcv hose, all new fuel lines from the tank to the engine including a new 300ZX fuel filter, fresh oil change with a Bosch filter, new air filter, new Denso spark plugs, and new KYB GR-2 shocks in the rear.
-The valve cover was also painted in wrinkle finish red, and looks really good. The gasket was also replaced at this time.
-To pass state inspection, the car will need a new muffler, and new front tires only. It is a great commuter car and needs absolutely nothing. I would drive it across the country tomorrow if I had to. I will include a folder with maintenance receipts totaling almost $500, not including the new windshield which was $247; all of which have been done in 2010.
-The car is located in Williamsport, PA 17701. If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I have included photos of pretty much every part of the car and have disclosed every single thing I know about it. If anyone needs any photos of anything specific, I can go out and have a photo for you in minutes. I can also take a video of the car running and driving if anyone desires who is coming from far away, just to confirm how well it drives.
-Will not come with a CD player or speakers because I will be putting them in my girlfriend's car once this is sold.
-I didn't have a set price, but a friend is mine said that if it came down to it and I was desperate to sell, that he would give me $1200 for it. So basically offer me something above that and its yours. Come drive it away anytime you'd like.
Now onto the pics. These were taken today so what you see is what you get. None of this "here's an old photo...it looks similar" kind of stuff that I see on here a lot.
