I just picked up this kit for the S13 SR, and for some reason my Nismo oil filter is not fitting on the threads on this kit where the filter mounts.
The Nismo filter that I'm running now, is the same size and threads that the OEM SR filter is.
So if it's not fitting my Nismo Filter, it's not going to fit an OEM SR filter.
Anyone else running this kit or similar ones, have any issues like this?
Maybe it's for an S14/S15 SR. But was told it's for the S13 SR

thread pitch is most likely different?
Usually oil relocation kits arent neccesarily MOTOR specific.
Like my earls adapter is 3/4x16
SR is 22mm 1.5 thread pitch.
and theres SAE 3/4x16 iirc.
if the SR one isnt fitting, chances are its the SAE size?
try a 88 toyota supra filter, thats what im using lol

Thanks.
I was just thinking about that they're not neccesarily motor specific.
I'll try the supra filter. I think the Sentra filter may fit too.
Trial and error I guess.

im almost positive its 3/4x16
if your SR isnt fitting.
when you go to autozone or whatever tell them the 88 toyota supra filter, and ask them the thread pitch, theyre listed.

IIRC my generic oil cooler/remote filter kit looks identical to the PBM kit and it took an S2000 oil filter. Give that a try.

I retract my previous statement, ^^^he's right. Take the remote oil filter block and go the hardware store, they usually have the thread pitch measuring tool. Its basically a bigass bolt that you're trying to figure out the pitch on anyway.

Correct, most relocation kits use a different filter than wants on the motor.

Thanks for that idea. I'm a fan of the k&n filters, so I checked the k&n part number for the supra which is hp-1004. Went to the auto parts store with the sandwich plate, and test fitted the filter. Fits like a glove, and this supra filter is fairly bigger in size compared to the s13 SR filters. That's a plus with more oil capacity.

Or you could take it to the parts store and find a filter that fits and save yourself some gas.
