Manifold Question
I heard that the cxracing manifolds crack easily. So I figure I should upgrade that at least. Are there any manifolds that will bolt up with the same exhaust piping so I don't have to get a new dump pipe? Any top mount should fit relatively the same right? Is a Megan Racing one better or same crap? It's only gonna be on for about 5000-10000 miles and I'm not trying to spend too much money on it so I can focus on finding a clutch and trans for my 91

Turbo question
I understand it's a cheap chinese turbo and it's not going to last too long. But is there anything I can do to prevent oil leakage from blown seals. Like a garrett or turbonetic t3/t4 rebuild kit would make it less prone to that kind of thing right? I'm only going to be running at 7psi for my daily driver. Also somebody else pointed out that sometimes they're not balanced correctly. How do I check for that? There is no shaft play at all so I think it's in mediocre shape. The only thing I did notice is that one of the exhaust mounting bolts was snapped off in the exhaust housing it so I figure stronger bolts for that. The exhaust wheel is browned from heat so I think I should swap that out as well right? A turbonetics replacement looks like it'll do the trick but it says for big shaft turbos and I'm not quite sure if mine is or not. The compressor side looks perfect so I'm not worried about that. This is my first turbo rebuild so any advice would be greatly appreciated. And the housing looks fine and I figure this is way cheaper than buying a brand new garrett t3/t4.

Last Question
One more question. It came with a bov but I don't trust it. It's mounted to the pipe already. I got a blitz bov I can put on instead but I have no idea how to mount it since the blitz bov looks like a completely different design. Any pics of your guys blitz bov installs would help a lot. Or should I not worry about the bov?

Thanks in advance.

Just a 'heads up,' I've run a COMPLETE CXRacing turbo kit on my 91 hatch and have had NO problems with cracking (as long as you use a flex joint south of your downpipe), or turbo issues. I also ran a CXR T3/T4 on my 86 T-Bird Turbo and also have had no problems with that either (And I am now upgrading the Bird to CX's GT35R Ball Bearing Turbo (German Ball Bearings.)) My friend uses their turbo on his miata and another friend has one on his Evo 8, again no problems. There are a lot of people that say generalizations about 'Chinese' brands. In all reality they have never even used the product from the specific manufacturer that they are slandering or they did not use the provided oil restrictor on the turbo center cartridge and want someone else to blame. I am a huge fan of CX products and would recommend them to everyone. Good luck with your project.

How about no flex pipe in downpipe, solid exhaust but semi solid engine mounts haha...

That's what I was thinking since I'm running nismo mounts but stiff exhaust hangers off my 3in lol. The dude has a good point about a flex pipe (maybe I'll have one welded in). Don't flex pipes reduce performance though? I know they did in my 96 maxima but maybe that's just because of the size of the stock flex pipe rather than the actual flex pipe itself.
