Hey guys, I have a '96 240sx.  One of my headlights is aimed up, and the other is down.  I don't like it.
How do I change the position of the lights?

Also, if you know, are there any different tail lights for the s14?
Thanks,
-Jeff

The headlight is suspose to be somewhat misaligned somewhat. The left will be lower than the right. Otherwise you should be able to adjust them by a screw or something on the headlight. I will look to see where they are in the morning.

There arent any taillights for the s14 besides the 97-98 style. I still dont really know what the dif is other then the 97-98 have some sort of styled plastic on the outside. I dont get it. I will look for a pic.

It's dark out, and I'm lazy, and... don't really want to wait till morning to find out.
How many light bulbs, total, are in the headlamp assembly on a 1996 240?
I need to know, because I wanna buy new lights.

H4's are in the low beams
9005's are in the High beams
H3's are in the Fog lights

I think 97+ have 9004's in the lows, but dont quote me on it.

Wow.  Thanks.  I can buy bulbs now.
Anyone have info on if the 97-98 taillights fit on a 96, or ANYTHING different.
Also, what screw to adjust the headlights?

I believe the 97'~98' tailights wiil bolt right up....again, there really isn't that much of a difference when looking at the lights except for weird plastic lines running horizontally along the entire housing.

Adjusting the beam involves a screw on the top of the inside of the light....the black housing...there should be a small cylinder type deal with green liquid in it which acts as a level.....I might be off a little...IU'll look again and give you the heads up!

Jeff,

I have mentioned it in more detail before but you *can* fit the 97-98 headlights on the stock 95-96 body but they will look funny and have a gap. To do it correctly you need a front bumper, fenders, and hood to do the swap correctly.

Oh yea... here is a pic I did for all showing the 95-96 s14 and 97-98 taillights. Time to add add the newer taillights to my wishlist! <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

Enjoy!
