Ok so i am in the process of relocating my battery. I have acquired the battery box and am looking for 2 gauge wire! My problem is that the only store i have found in sac that has 2 gauge wants 4 bucks a foot! Is this common? So my question is, does anyone know of places either online or around where they are that can beat that price? home depot sells crappy 2 gauge that is not flexible in the least! I need the flexible stereo kind. thanks for all your help guys! Logan

I got an answer!

Go to Sears automotive department and get their best Jumper cables. Chop the Clamps off of them and use them. Around 40 bucks. Cheaper for shorter ones. Very flexible and rated to handle anything you want to put through them. Of course, you will need to terminate them correctly.

I've got 20 footers. Red and black. Look great. I use them as jumper cables though. They also have white ones. I can jump a large van off from behind him.

I don't. They are huge and can hold 600 AMPS. I cannot imagine anything that would need wire bigger. Not even 4 poweramps. About as big around as my index finger.

PS...the website says 18 feet and 5 gauge.

I guess if you want 2 gauge, you will need to shell out the big bux. Well, worth a shot anyway. That picture on their site are not the good ones. Mine are huge.

The whole battery relocation kit from Summit Racing is only around 50 bucks, plus it has everything ya need to install. Why not just go with that?
