speaker questions

i have a 91' 240 coupe. just bought me some alpine type s speakers front 4x6 and rear 6.5. the rear ones fits but the front 4x6 are a lil short off. i tried to use the brackets that came along and still did fit. can anyone give me some seguestions on what i should do and how???

are the oem speakers 4x6? or a little different?

yea the oem ones are 4x6 and ofcourse they have to match up to the holes. but still the alpine ones i bought wont fit for some reason......

The OE speaker is a 4x6 cone, but the frame is slightly larger. You need to either make a seal around it, buy the adapters to fit a 6.5" (the best option, 4x6s don't sound that great), or trim it out and fit a 5x7.

flip the speakers over and trace the outline over the original hole and cut one to fit with a dremel tool

i found an upgrade brackets that lines up perfect to the door. even better about it cuz it require 6.5 speakers yeah. the manager at the car audio shop was so tierd of me going back and forth he let me trade the 4x6 for a 6.5 free of no charge double yeah!!!!!!!! thank alot for your help zilvians.

im not too sure what the problem is
i have alpine type s and the backets that came with them worked fine in my 180sx

again just to be clear i said my rear 6.5 fit but not my FRONT oem 4x6. so i have to buy me an upgrade bracket that require a 6.5. dont understand still........ heres a pix
