It should cost about the price of a car. And you have a FAA pilot's license.

Total WIN!

Whats the fuel consumption like on it? Or is it battery powered? I wonder if its loud.

I think it would be more comfortable if there was a platform to stand on, but who cares its a freaking jetpack!

Why dont they show it flying around outside? That reminds me of those CC commercials where you get the bike to ride in a 2ft box.

Most likely for insurance/liability purposes...or maybe the person flying it needs to have a FAA license (like exitspeed said) and he doesn't have one.

Outside. It's an experimental aircraft.

Inside it's a jet pack.

The FAA has redonculous regulations on these and it will be lucky if it makes it to step 2. Outside. Teathered to a large pole/crane.

The real problem is that it's not an aircraft. and the regulations are designed for aircraft. That's why a BS Cesna 140 is worth so much because it's FAA Cert. Instead of a kit plane that's 3x as nice.

Second ducted fans as used have ridiculous maintenance intervals. Think if someone said. "Every 2000 hours you drive your jetpack, you must bring it to a government certified dealer who bills at 150/hr to completely (all new everything) rebuild your motor whether it needs it or not and every 8000 hours you have to buy a new motor and get it installed at our dealer and have uncle sam cert it. And those fan blades. Every 3000 hours. New ones of those."

I would like to see how he counters for a 10mph cross wind and if it "spins" the jetpack. Alot hanging off the back for the wind to catch.

Yeah taking off and landing are cool but Rossy is doing it right. Just needs to get a take off and landing method down :)

I heard something about this on the radio. I think they said you don't need a pilot's license and it would cost as much as a car.. yep, a very expensive car 50-70k irc..supposedly going to mass produced/sold in some country (forgot which one). I wouldn't want one. Sounds cool but damn, I'd end up hurting myself big time.

This is awesome. The more they make the cheaper they get and the slimmer they get. I will take a third gen please.

Ahh, its gasoline powered. You need to weigh between 140lbs - 240lbs to use it. Looks like I gotta lose like 15lbs, lol.
