Just thought I would post this up here.
Last Friday the Hankook, CGR, Blu808 Camaro drift car took to the tarmac of the Streets Of Willow in Rosamond, Ca. This was the first test of the Camaro on a real track, and we are pleased to announce a laptime of 1:21.9 This was achieved using Hankook Rs-3 Street tires. This laptime is about 2 seconds faster than a Zr-1 Corvette according to Edmunds.com lap times postings.
To put this into perspective. The famous Mines R34 GTR time attack race car ran the same track at 1:21.3 on R compound tires.
This also makes it the official lap record holder for a 2010 Camaro at the Streets Of Willow
Testing went much better than expected, and we even managed to get some drift setups dialed in.
