i recently bought a 1989 240sx automatic and have been planning on doing a 5-speed swap during my SR20DET swap (ordering my S13 front clip in a few days :)) I have been reading all the FAQ's about 5-speed swaps and still have a few questions...

1. Will the JDM clutch pedal that comes with the front clip work on my USDM 240sx as my new clutch pedal?
2. Besides a shift knob and a shift boot, what other parts will i need to order that won't come with my front clip for my tranny swap?
3. Do i need to buy USDM clutch lines for the master and slave cylinder's that will reach my left hand drive set-up, since the front clip is RHD?

thanks for your time and help,
Tim

use USDM hardlines
yes the clutch pedal will work rubber gasket below the boot is good to have also but is a discontinued part from nissan so the junkyard is the place to find one don't forget to jumper the neutral safety switch also

alrighty, so it looks like as long as i get a front clip, i wont have to spend much at all (less that $100) on extra 5-speed parts. am i correct?

besides the neutral saftey switch, what other wiring is neccesary on my S13? i am going to be using my front clip's SR20DET ECU so i think i have to wire more than just that neutral saftey switch.

thanks,
tim

I did the auto to manual on my 240SX..
Its not that hard, Its just annoying and uncomfortable..
You need a USDM everything.
LOL
Driveshaft, Clutch Pedal, You can saw your brake pedal down to the clutch pedals size and use the clutch pedals rubber thing, Hell it saves you the headache and it looks the same, You need the crossmember for the tranny and I think thats it since the swap should be coming with mostly everything already, You also need all the clutch lines, My lines go straight to the rubber line for the slave cylinder so its all good, Clutch feels real good.
Oh, and have fun drilling holes into the firewall ;)
