this is proablly one of the dumbest threads but o well maybe you guys can help me out lol, i was taking off my valve cover the other day to change my gaskets, after i put on the gaskets and was tighting up the last bolt of the valve cover all the way in the back i dropped a socket wrench with a 10mm socket on it. so i look on the ground not there, look all around the motor not there. jack up my car look for a good ten min not there. I just cant find this damn thing anywhere and every time i drive now i can hear it rattle and when im at a stop light i can feel it rattling through my accelerator pedal.... any ideas where this thing can be, how the hell do you loose an entire socket wrench, also i tried looking in the trans tunnel but cant really get a good look.
Thanks- Dave

Only person that can help you is yourself. How are we supposed to know where it is if you dont even know where it is? Its like playing easter egg hunt in the ocean.

dude pull off the front covers of the timing chain, get a floor jack. UNBolt the motor mounts and jack the the motor and tranny by the bell housing. should give you enough space to get small rachet and pull the oil pan, also you gonna have to move other things like sway bars,ps lines maybe unblot the subframe to give better space to work,etc.. good luck..for a better review of what im talking about. look up how ppl do turbo there ka while leaving the engine in. seen it done by a buddy who had to replace rods bearings.

We're not going to keep suggesting shit when you're the one that needs to get under that hood and find it yourself.
There's only so many places it could have fallen into.
You're not looking for one specific grain of sand at the beach.
Jack it up, use flashlights, and start looking.
If it rattles when the car is on, how about you leave it running and try to pin point its exact location.
