Employee discount at Best Buy is RIDICULOUS. They mark their items up like 800% I swear.

Never pay retail at Best Buy!

First off, the secret to Best Buy's discount is Wholesale cost+10%. Look for the open box shit, its easier. I used to work there. Secondly, I think it is ridiculous that you can't dish out the extra $10-15 on eBay or Amazon.

Why spend an extra $10-15 when I can have somebody local just help me out instead?

Why the hell not? Nobody is going help you save $10-15 bucks on a lousy cable. You're better off stealing it. Not trying to plant ideas though.

Send me the extra money if it isn't a big deal. I'll go ahead and order one online somewhere.

I KNOW that the employee price on the cable I want is $5. (Retail is about $70).
I don't see why it would be such a problem for somebody to buy 2 of them for me. Maybe people are 100% assholes these days and don't bother to help anybody. I don't know....

I need help understanding how you can afford an HDTV and an XBOX360/PS3/Blu-Ray player and can't even invest in a simple cable that's less than that.

Brian

I can afford it, but why go to the store and spend $60 on a cable, when somebody that works there can get it for $5 ?

I can't speak for everybody,but I'd rather spend $55 less on a little cable if it's possible.

I might end up ordering one online, but I would rather not.

NEWS FLASH PEOPLE:
If you pay anything more than $15 for 6ft HDMI cable (depending on length of cable) YOU"RE A DUMBASS!!!

You get the same SAME results with a cheap ass $5 cable than with a $120 monster cable.

I got a 12ft cable from Harbor Freight on sale for under $10,
Looks the same as my FREEBIE 6ft Monster Cable valued at $120 at best buy. I work for a company that supplies custom equipment to AV integrators, so....Yeah chicka-chicka !
:fruit:

Edit: make that $10, never pay more than $10!!!
