I lived in Albuquerque for over 10 years and I never felt like I was being screwed over by my mechanic. Granted, I did shop around quite a bit before I settled with him, so maybe it was because of that. But still, I can’t help but feel sorry for everyone else who just accepts the first price that’s spat out at them. On the bright side, at least I wasn’t in Chicago.

beats me but living in jacksonville... I know this must be based around some BS injector cleaning service or something because there are alot of idiots in town that shouldn't have wrenches.

I got in a job yesterday that made me cry. they couldn't figure out why the front main seal was leaking even after they took the balancer bolt out and put a crap ton of RTV down behind the bolt to "seal it good".

I think it's based off a brake replacement job, pretty standard thing.
