I guess it comes with a harness.
You just splice it into your car's radio harness. There is ground, power, constant battery power, etc. Pretty simple. I suck at wiring and I managed to hook it up to my car.

It also has video cables and stuff if you want to hook up a reverse camera or something. I've never used those.

You CAN connect an iPod to it if you get an additional harness for it. I have seen them on ebay for $30 or so.
