before i even start this motor i am looking to run a wideband, but i not sure on some things..

SO..

AEM Gauge-type Wideband UEGO Controller [ 30-4100 ] - Enjuku Racing - Performance Parts and High Quality Fabrication (http://www.enjukuracing.com/gaugetype-wideband-uego-controller-p-7000.html)

vs.

Megan Racing 52mm Air/Fuel Meter [ MG-AF ] - Enjuku Racing - Performance Parts and High Quality Fabrication (http://www.enjukuracing.com/megan-racing-52mm-airfuel-meter-p-6573.html)

im assuming the megan one is cheaper because it doesn't come with a wideband o2? and is that crucial for it to read accurately? or could i buy the megan one and hook it up to my current o2?

yeah i was also considereing autometer, when you bought it, did you just hook it up to your stock o2 sensor? is it serving you well?

i agree. if it reads a wide band of air fuel.. then it works..
if your looking for a great gauge.. look into the innovative one its very very accurate..
but the autometer one will do you just fine untill then. just make sure you watch it alll the time and keep your motor safe!

Comes with it's own O2 sensor and bungs to weld to your downpipe. I haven't hooked it up yet since my motor isn't in, so I can't give any firsthand feedback, but I just wanted to throw it out there as an option.

Everyone flames when you mention "Autometer" on an import forum, I was just letting everyone know I was expecting it and that I didn't really care.

I originally typed "...flame away fanboys..." because that's what I feel about most people who talk down Autometer without valid reasons. I decided to keep the negativity out of my post.

They're great gauges used in a lot of high-end cars, but because they're not JDM, they're "junk."

I also looked into Innovative, but all my gauges are Ultra-Lite and as stated, if it reads wide-band, it works.

ِAEM will do juust fine....If you THE accurate WB..get the FJO WB...sure it's 650$ or 730$ IIRC,

Worth it tho

Auto meter is great toooo

If it doesn't say wideband in the ad then it isn't a wideband a/f ratio gauge. If it only says air/fuel ratio gauge, then it is the cheaper, less accurate gauge and nothing more than flashy colors going back and forth. The non-wideband a/f gauge that wires in the stock o2 isn't worth buying unless you just want the "look" without the "functionality". There is a difference.

Do not buy anything that doesnt use a wideband 02 sensor (usually a 5 wire 02 sensor made by bosch). The less expensive autometer/megan gauges use the stock narrow band sensor. These sensors are only capable of telling which side of stoich your on (lean or rich). They are about as meaningful as the stock water temp gauge (cold/warm/overheating). A wideband o2 will be able to tell you precisely how lean or rich you are to the tenth's decimal place. I personally run the Innovate WB but AEM and Zietronix are also good units. They all use the same Bosch WB sensor.

correct me if I'm wrong, but WB's have a digital readout and NB's do not....easy way to tell what you're looking at...

I just bought the AEM Uego. I was in the same dilemma also but after all the reading on different forums, everyone seemed to enjoy the AEM over the Innovative and other same priced widebands. It was mostly due to it was easier to use and less problems with calibrating the sensor
