SR20DET: Can it pass California Smog?

I live in California, and I have been doing some research online. I was wondering if the SR20DET engine woule be able to pass a smog test in California. If somone could please tell me if they have had any experience with this post some information (any steps to get it legal) I would greatly appreciate it.

Another thing is would they even check it because it's not the stock engine? My friend has a 240sx, and they did not check it because he disconnected the speed govenor. He was forced to reconnect it before performing the smog check. lol i dunno seems crazy.

eh im wondering about the smogin problem also because im living in california. &nbsp;I also heard my friend say to bribe the mechanic. &nbsp;Actually, he just had his 93 rx7 smog check and he bribe the guy $200 for the work done.

its will pass smog. &nbsp;This one dude with a sr20det told me he passed with flying colors.
