when a turbo timer says it has auto start, does that mean it can be setup for remote start? Sorry if this is a silly question, just wandering if i can kill two birds with one stone.

ever since my car was broken into ive been looking at alarms and stuff. last time i was at best buy(i think) i looked at one and it had a manual autostart. i asked somebody about it and he said you have to go through the gears a certain way, kinda like a password, and that would make it work some some bullshit. he dident seem to know what he was talking about. but either way apparently there's remote starts for manuals :P

Yeah, I have remote start on my car as part of my alarm system.. Just have to remember to leave the car in neutral when getting out..

Omg really you guys? Google does wonders.
I have autostart on my car as well, the only thing that needs to be done is the clutch pedal switch bypassed. Make sure your car is in neutral or else your car will launch forward, i never use it anyways tho.
As far as the autostart on a turbo timer never heard of it before.

not sure but i do know one of my friends has a 5spd WRX with turbo timer and his car also has auto start. (hes got the clifford alarm system with auto start)
i have auto start on my SR20DET S14 (viper alarm) so its possible. just dont leave your car in gear when you start it up... my friend did it and the car jumps forward then stalls out.
not sure if i answered your question but i hope this helped out a little

i have auto start with a turbo timer. it doesnt affect it.
auto start is for starting the car, turbo timer is for stopping it.
they dont really affect one another, unless you wire things up wrong.

I should have been more clear. I am referring to the autostart feature ON some turbo timers. Not using remote start on a vehicle with a turbo timer.

auto start = remote start?
i have never seen a turbo timer with that feature.

I maybe mistaken but are you sure they are not referring to the actual turbo timer. Meaning to set the cool-down time so that it will automatically come on when the key is off as opposed to "manually" hitting the button to start the count-down.
