my s13 was parked at the parents' house for a couple years. about once every other month some highschool kid would come knocking on the door asking to buy it.
also, twice while working on it in their garage, which faces the street, but is about 150 feet back on the lot, teenage kids have come up and asked what i'm doing/poked around. once this was at about three in the morning. kind of unsettling to be under a car, and when you come out a group of 15 year olds are all up in your business.
oh, and the constant "do you drift" at stoplights/parking lots.
i swear, the 240sx is a pedophile's dream machine.

oh yeah. when i first got it, the ICM crapped out on me (IIRC), which would make the car die randomly. but that wasn't the problem: after dying, it would STAY DEAD for about 20 minutes. you could crank it all day and nothing would happen, then 20 minutes later it'd start fine and wouldn't do it again for weeks. it took FOREVER to figure out what the hell was going on, and i was stranded at stoplights more than once. getting out to push when you've got 20 cars lined up behind you isn't fun.

Only car I've been revved at is by an STi. I've been paced on the freeway a few times. Recently it was by a CRX which after 10 or so seconds gunned it with poor results.

YES. turbo diesels are driven exclusively by ASSHOLES around here, who have probably never towed anything, ever.

I made her pay 800 to fix my car eventhough it took about 200 for new headlights =) i was just so pissed that she didnt hear me honking and i was on my way to take a trip with my g/f.

I was driving in my hatch with my girl and sister when some Honda with a shitty exhaust rolled by my left side and gassed it to make me cringe from the ricey exhaust leaking tone. Haha. He started yelling something about is my car (nova) fast and so on and says you should race my boy in the STI in front of me. Last night i had a guy tailgating me in a crown vic...i was doing the 40 mph speed limit, kept the speed up through a tight traffic circle, and he tried to do the same and ended up with the tail end kicking out, then he overcorrected and understeered into the curb and was stuck on the snow.

LOL you guys with no horn should know that's probably one of the easiest fixes. Usually it's the solder that simply gave on the wire to the horn button. Extend the wire, solder, and cover in light coat of JB Weld so that it actually holds.

If you drift and have a cheap hub more often than not the solder will give out for the horn button wire. Usually the wire is much to short and coils around till it breaks offs the solder point. Reason why extending the wire is really a must do and the JB Weld just strengthens the hold.

Before my vert I had a red s13 stock hatch. My friend was driving his BMW 318ti and I in my s13 down the freeway in Portland sort of late ish so not many cars on the freeway. Casually driving mind my own business enjoying my car when out of no where a white riced out CRX comes flying past us and slows down, waits for us to catch up, and takes off again. At this time I call my buddy in his 318ti and came up with a quick plan. Here is what we did:
-Caught up to the guy in the ricer
-318ti passed him and got in front of him as I pulled up to the side of him
-Blocked him in and as I got closer to his car he would steer away from me untill we were in the far right lane.
-I turned my hazard lights on and my friend and I began to slow down and I kept forcing him off onto the shoulder
-We finally stopped, and the ricer started freaking out as I reached across my car under the seat and brought up a middle finger and took off!

The worst experience I had was being tailgated by a z06 corvette it was a few weeks ago. I usually drive slow to avoid unwanted attention I usually get the usual stares and what not, but i guess this corvette has been wanting to race me or something.

I was just driving like I regularly do then I hear something gunning it down the street it sounded monstrous and as soon as I know I have a corvette on my ass revving and almost hitting my rear bumper. It continues for about three minutes until this guy cuts me off to get into the off ramp that leads onto the freeway.

So I do what 240's do best and get as close to his car as I can get on the off ramp till i see him stare at me through his review mirror then i flip him off and i smile then see him gunning it down the straightaway as I let him go.

I've only had my s14 for about 2 weeks and last night there was some guy in a 04 cobra that I could hear reving at the red light before I even got there. Most recent one: My girlfriend just bought herself a vert. This thing has a really shitty rattle can paint job on it where the kid didn't mask anything off or sand anything down. So the other night she calls me at 8pm saying her car just died in the Chick-fil-a parking lot. So I get in the 240 and run down that way and it's the alternator. we go grab one real quick, and I back up into the parking space next to her.

10 minutes into swapping it out some young young kid in an integra pulls up a couple spots down, reving his shit to high heaven. He stares at us while walking in to get his food, come out and walks directly over to us. Halfway there he yells, "Clean 240". I stood up, looked at him really confused and said, "Which one" lol My car is clean as shit, hers is still ugly as hell. lol. He says "the vert", and I straight up laughed at him. He looked kinda hurt and then asked me where to buy an s13, because he supposedly couldn't find one. hahahaha, I said the internet and went back to working. He then continues to tell me about how he wrecked his "last 240" lol

He says: Yeah, I wrecked my old one........ drifting"

I just ignored and him hoping he would go away. Then he asks if I need help. I was just pissed off by then and stood up, looked him in the eye and said,

"look at my car. Do you really think I need help changing an alternator"

The kid then turned around, not saying anything and got in his car and slowly drove off. I kinda felt bad, but Amanda was laughing her ass off. lol Good times.

Last night I was driving (girlfriend in passenger seat with the window down), and we end up at a redlight behind an Explorer Sport with a dual exhaust that was mounted unevenly and the phrase "sport V-6" emblazoned on the rear window in cursive. We ended up getting close to his fender (which had the three emblems on the side from a supercharged buick).

As soon as the tool realizes I'm there, he revs the exhaust in my girlfriends ear, and then proceeds to speed ahead, getting stuck behind the flow of traffic. This happened between three separate redlights until he finally had to turn off. Simply Amazing.

Ive had people pull up beside me at redlights spit on my car for the next two redlights, then tell me to get a real car. Ive also had hamburgers thrown on my window, and my car has been the victim of three drive by drink throws. I also live in a very rural area, so i have fallen victim to the diesel blackout countless times. And as for the honda situation, i cant tell you how many hondas I have to put up with at redlights. My next complaint is the fact that every mustang in the county wants to race me, I think that mustang owners could be the biggest slurs removedof them all!

one of my roommates friends pisses me off. He used to have a gray 91. huge piece of shit; rust all over the place, steelies, stock everything, huge sub in the hatch(sounded like shit).

one day last year he was driving in town a lil drunk and accidentally ran a red light right in front of a cop. rather than get a dui he decided the best thing to do was floor it and run from the cop. he claims that within half a mile he was doing a 160mph(can't be done) when he lost control of the car, hit a curb, and ran into a stone sign(which would kill him).

I've wanted to confront him about it several times to try to get the story straight but he is one of those guys that you could tell him he is wrong for hours and he wouldn't listen at all.

other than that I will fuck with people on the highway because they either want to race or have a nicer car and don't want to get beat by a cheaper one. So if I see a total doucher I'll act like I'm racing him and bump the speed up a little bit and kinda egg them on and then when they start to race, I'll back off and let them have their victory and then they usually keep driving at that speed and then I will pass them 5-10 minutes later when they get pulled over. One time a guy in a vette got pulled over and after the officer left he speed up and caught me and flipped me off as if it was my fault. he then speed off and tried to get away so I speed up just to check his speed and he was doing about 95 in a 70. I backed off again and passed him 10 minutes later pulled over by a different cop.

I ask my sister to take the truck (F-150) out of the drive way so I could pull in to give my car wash and vacuum. I was in the middle of the street, she starts backing up towards me. I had just got the car out of the body shop about a hour prior. This happened a year and a half ago. I have had an s13 driver stalk me through a parking lot going the wrong way on a one line right of direction road as hard as he could. Lucky for me I spotted him and did not go. I have also had an old ass mid 90s vette slow as hell rev up on me cutting tires loose at 60 mph or so cause they make hella torque. I am usually very careful and knowledgeable of other drivers when they are around.

back in high school one time, in the parking lot, i came across a guy i used to know thats was supposedly "pretty into" cars. he was bragging that his 240 had a U.S, made 2.0L turboed engine making 400hp. i asked if i could see it and as he proudly opens his hood, all i saw was a ka24de stock. i told him that its a 2.4L ka24de like mine but he disagreed, even after asking him where the turbo and randomly pointed at the right side of the engine bay. annoyed, i showed him my engine bay and told him that its the same exact thing but mine other than some minor diff. all i got was a "NO MAN! THATS A SINGLE CAM!" and later, told me we should swap trannys ( his was automatic). theres more things that he said but are just to excruciating to remember/repeat.

and recently while visiting and old friend. a group of guys in a lancer that was badly modified to look like an evo, a dumped integra that appeared to have heated springs, kept driving by and yelling at me and my friend talking on the driveway. always yellow out "lets race!" and giving thumbs up to my mostly stock FB. after a few hrs, i left and gues who was on the corner of the street yelling on the top of their lungs, " LETS RACE!"

Car got backed into by my neighbor, alarm goes off I go check it out, I don't see anyone around my car, wtf? My 5 year old son who was playing in the front yard @ the time saw the whole thing, told me all about it, how the neighbor hit my ride and just took off, lol, my neighbor busted a hit n run, I wait for my neighbor to get home and go confront him if he hit my car? He says no, I told him he is full of it, cause my son saw the whole thing, and my license plate with a tow hitch inprint, matches the one on his truck, luckily it was just my front plate.
