I just searched the everliving hell out of this topic this morning, and to save you the trouble 99 Percent of the posts all said to go with Injen (with a small minority leaning towards AEM). I don't think I read a single post supporting/recommending OBX intakes.
On the flip side they are the least expensive next to generics. The info I'm after is are they proven to provide performance gains, or are they all show and no go/hurt performance?

i think intakes might be one of those things that are hard to mess up. as long as it's a decent size, has all the correct smog fittings, and bolts up correctly - i don't see how one could be better than another.

Well mandrel bent vs non-mandrel bent, size, fit, quality of materials, are a few factors that I'm taking into consideration as well as cost.

So im an a$$hole now? He asked more than one question in his post is obx just plain crap? is the one I was answering albeit a bit too indirectly. Since I've never owned an obx intake I don't feel qualified to come out and say "that obx intake is a pos" but I can say that no one on this board has endorsed it. I didn't realize that made me an :mrmeph:

Reliability? Of a pipe? C'mon people :P
Intakes are hard to mess up, unless they have a crappy filter or a hugeass logo on them. Logos can usually be scraped off, and filters can be traded for something worthwhile.
Anybody know anything about the filters OBX use?
