to start it off, i just picked up a clean full oem stock 1993 hatch. theres never been any modification on this car or whatsoever with the radio. i am installing my old (A) stereo from my previous car and it was working before my car got in accident. i didnt touch the wirings or whatsoever so it should be plug and play. i pulled out the stock stereo and plugged in mine it turned on but no sound, then i put back the stock stereo and all the speaker works with it. i was thinking WHY? so i went to my girl's hatch and hooked up my (A) old stereo to her car (she has a 90 hatchback) and it work with sound and fully functional. then i hook up her stereo to my 93 hatch and shit turns on but same problem no audio.
i searched around i couldnt find any answer. i read some info saying could be something had to do with the premium sound package that comes with the car? anyone?
does a 1993 have a different wiring compare to a 90 and 91 (my previous car)
if someone can direct me to the right direction i appreciate it.

Did the original stereo in the 93 work?
Check behind the drivers rear trunk carpet for the optional factory amp, it could be bad, unplugged or not recieving power from the new radio. Make sure the light green wire in the radio harness is getting 12v power from the radio, if not you can jump it to the ignition wire (blue).
If there is no amp check for speakers or wiring grounding out.

Well is the car you have now a SE with that stock BOSE setup? When first installed a aftermarket head unit on my 92SE it didn't have sound because the stock bose speakers had that amp in the back of it and it wasn't sending the signal to the speaker to actually play music. I ended up just putting some aftermarket ones speakers and got rid of the factory amp and it solved the problem.
I think it worked on your other cars because it didn't have that BOSE thing.

You should know this mang.
If the speaker grilles say 'ACTIVE SPEAKER', it's the amplified system. Hook the remote amp turn on lead to the matching wire in the harness, it will be blue on the aftermarket side, light green with a red stripe OE side.
Problem is then, you're amplifying an amplified signal, so there's a lot of noise and feedback between tracks. Better to remove and bypass the amplifiers for cleaner sound. Tons of writeups how to on here.

For the rears, yes. The fronts have their own amps behind the speaker.
And there never was a BOSE system offered in the Schassis. It was a similar setup with separate amplifiers, but nothing was made by BOSE, it's all Panasonic equipment.
