driving home last night and my dash lights just turned off. found out today that my tail lights arnt working by the switch either. brake lights do, but riding lights dont.
ive searched, and searched, and searched.
1. grounded the red wire w/ yellow strip. I have an actual radio harness, so the orange wires arnt touching anything.
2. checked the fuses. tail light fuse was blown, replaced it w/ 15amp
3. tried to pull the turn signal stock off and cleaning the little gold connector things and pushing it down. still nothing
what else is there to do?

ahahah this happend to me and mannn that dam gremlin. try the tcu, wasn't my solution but it was one of the things i checked. if not the worst case, you will have to track down the wires through the loom and you may have to check behind the dash for which you have to remove.

well if your fuse was blown then something went wrong in your wiring. was your fuse that blew a fifteen? they are supposed to be but if it was a 30(i know this from experience)they will blow and your wiring will fry so id check the wiring right behind the fuse box to see if your wiring isnt totally burnt. it will be hard to get to

yea i had a short happen when i was replacing my license plate bulb wiring and it touched on a metal surface somewhere. found it blew a fuse for the tail lights. my dash lights wouldn't work nor did my tail lights. my brake lights worked. replaced the fuse and it works fine.
best advice...check the wired behind your fuse block

well, ive recently switched from analog to digital harness, and ive never had problems, so im going to check there first.

i had a similar problem twice.
first time it was a 12v cable from the front right side marker that was grinding on a piece of metal.
second time it was a cable from the license plate bulbs.

I had the same thing happen like a month ago. One of my tail lights blew. Had to replace the bulb and fuse.

I used my test light today and all fuses are good. Looked at the TCU and it was fine, could the copper pieces behind the stock be bad? I looked at the FSM today, and the wiring for these lights goes battery>stock assem.>TCU.

Yes, but is there power at the fuse? If so, the lighting switch is good and you have a short somewhere past the fuse, if not then the switch is bad.
Remember the dash lighting and parking lights are all on the same circuit. Brake lights however are not.

actually, the dash lights and tail lights are on the same fuse. its the 3rd to the bottom on the right side on the driver kick panel.

That's what I just said. What part of 'same circuit' makes you think I said differently?

You said brake lights are not. but i just now realized you were meaning the brake lights as in light when you push the pedal in.
fml i found it today, it was the light that was inside the fucking glovebox. i was so piiiiissssedd.

i mean that the wire going to the light in the glovebox was grounding itself out. I dunno why it wasnt popping the fuses. I dont have the annoying auto seatbelts, so you're screwed on that one.
