I took it in to get an alignment and to have my clutch replaced last wednesday, after installing my subframe spacers and Battle Version tension rods, and burning out my old clutch.
Well, of course things never happen that easily. The throwout bearing collar had FUSED to the old throwout bearing, and was mangled. So I had to get a new one... $17x for the part, and it would take 5 days to ship from Nissan.
Well, now my new Spec Stage 2 clutch is in, alignment's in spec...
YEEEEEEEEEHA!
Feels like a new S13!
Replacing the hatch lid tomorrow and the front brakes on Sunday... this is going to 0wn!

I'm assuming the new clutch hasn't had enough time for break in, but how does it feel? Any harder to depress than stock?? I am considering either the spec st 2 or the dual friction for my ka. It is VERY nice to get your car back, i know that feeling all to well...

Not trying to hijack this thread...but I am most curious about the subframe spacers. I just don't want a lot of noise coming in (scary).
I am tempted to either buy them or machine me some...but since they are on sale from da Man....looks good..
Also that engine damper......Hummmmmm
Glad you got it back, time to go crusing and get use to its new ways...but be safe and don't get a ticket.
(little sidebar story for you..)
today coming home from the dayjob...I had a red 90 model 240, a white 89 model 240 and me. We were all together. First time That has happened since I got it...that 3 of them on the road at the same time. needless to say...everyone crept their speed up more and more as we were driving...I think all 240sx owners know we got the potential. Did not get to talk to them..I was in the middle, best seat in the house, and the white one was in front of me. He was making some smooth lane changes and picking up the pace. He knew he has the SE model behind him and he was not riced. It was a latino dude. He had some overspray on his taillights from some spray can painting
I was cruising with him and we really were going a little fast for that area as the cops hang out...but friday coming home from work, everyone lets it hang out some..(35MPH limit...47 to 65 was his speeds..) So I found a little oppurtunity from looking way up the road an judging what I felt traffic would do and I nailed mine and swoop..I passed him pretty good with my clutch in and engine at idle.
He turned off behind me in a super market. Next, the red one was coming on..I was down to 35..and he blew by me doing about 100....it was funny watching him practically smoke his brakes to stop for a light in the left lane, meanwhile the right lane is wide open and instead of him changing up, he decided to stay put, I just drove by him and waved...
\So...with that in mind, have fun driving tonight!!!!
