California smog law

I want to swap to a sr20det or put a turbo on my ka24de but how do I get by with the smog law in California?:confused:

short answer:

you MUST be PEOPLE WHO KNOW PEOPLE


otherwise people have to drop a few hundred bucks at the smog shop for them to sneak you buy and hope they wont nark on you and you'll get your car impounded and face heavy fines.

I've found that the little mexican owned shops seem to sometimes sneak you by if you hand them down a little more cash. Thats your best bet, or ask someone who has one, and ask them who they smog it

i think that if you dont know how to pass smog here in cali then you shouldnt be considering a sr20 swap... damn n00bi3s.....

hey... there is no way to do an sr20 "right" in cali. You have to know/depend on someone! I would try to find someone before you get it though... or else:cry: .
