Hey guys, I've finally scratched up some money for rims...yeah I'm sick of my ugly hubcaps. There are a lot of different rims, and I can't really decide which ones to get. I have $950 to spend on rims and tires. I'll appreciate any suggestions.

I don't think you're going to get very far with what you said. There are thousands of styles out there, and everybody likes different ones. I think it'd be easier if you first decide what styles you like/dislike (mesh, 5-spoke, 7-spoke, split-5, etc). Then look for some that catch your eye...and choose from them.
Your choices will be limitied with only $950, but you can definitely find something. Remember, used is good [sometimes]. I'd check eBay or Rim1.com. Rim1 is selling a nice 10-spoke design (kinda plain, but it's pretty nice lookin) - four 17x7.5 rims for $399 - not including tires. They also have other nice cheap rims.

4 bolt right? id go for a nice low offset, wide rim over one that looks nice. you can get cheap mesh rims with low offsets and have about an 8.5
**** the cookie cutter stuff
My advice is maybe you should consider to do 300zx/5 lug conversion because 1) you have better stopping power and 2) you have more of a variety of rims to choose from. most people that sell used rims for s13/14 have 5 lug and most of them aren't expensive. Thats my two cents for you. Well, i hope you find the rims you are looking for:boink:

i think a good choice would be Konig blatants or traffiks (17" bronze)
or the 5zigen FN01R-C (Bronze)
as u ca tell..i likes bronze:boink:

im in the same boat as you, i have about the same money to spend as you(1g). but i have been patient and looking for a set of used rims and tires i like for a decent price. leaving me with like 500 for other mods.
i wish i could buy everything for my car brand new, but i cant, and used is sure as hell better than nothing

Yeah I don't really like mesh rims. I wasn't planning on spending too much cash on rims because I'll be selling my car in about a year when I leave for Northwestern. I really like the gunmetal look with polished lip, which is why originally Rota Subzeroes were one of my top choices. Although when I posted there was an offset issue.

I think you should have your stock wheels professionally widened to 8 or 9 inches and sport them.

If it were me personally, I would buy a NICE set of used rims and tires. Try http://www.wheelchoice.com they have some good stuff that, although used, would be in your price range. I'd much rather get some decent quality JDM rims than some brand new mediocre brand.
