i have a pair of feds with about 75% tread left. heres the deal, one is in good condition with wear on the inside from being stretched onto a x9" wheel. but the other had more pressure put on the sidewall so theres a hole in it which you can see in the pics. i guess im only selling one unless someone is crazy enough to try to patch up the hole and give it a shot cus i would do it just for one track day since its still got so much tread left on it. well anyways i already got new tires so i dont want these to go to waste since theyre still pretty new too. asking 70 or entertain me with trades..

A hole in the sidewall is usually not repairable lol

lmao i know that holes not fixable but i was hoping ppl would lowball me at least? i buoght them for brand new for like 150 and they only lasted me like 4 months.. so i figure i can at least try to get half out of it right since theres still like 80% tread left.. i figure its good for at least a good track day til it pops like Fusion240 said haha.
low ball me guys!

thats dangerous. u shouldn't be selling these tires knowing these tires are going to blow on somebody, especially during track days.

That's not even safe man... Like someone said just do donuts on them until the pop or throw hem away. Maybe you should fix your alignment some time in the near future.

well id rather not let them go to waste since one of them is still fine at least maybe they can make the other one work? im not hiding anything so if anyone wants to buy them then they know what they are getting so its not dangerous for me because its obviously got a hole in it but im aware of that lol.

yeah i kinda figured that lol. one side had fucked up camber and the other side was okay so maybe the allen screws got loose?

I've had this happen to me on one of my federal tires before... but the hole was on the very right side of the tread.. borderline sidewall.. The tire was camber worn but there was no way in hell camber caused the hole... I definately thought it was a defective tire.
I had to just take the hit cuz I knew I couldn't get anything for it.
I think you have to do the same here, or just try to sell the other tire seperate to someone who needs just one.

this is random, but do you have another picture of the stretch on the 9? ...i have 9s and i wanna see if these would fit like 225s since feddys do run wide. is the lip exposed?

yeah.. i was hoping i wouldnt get flamed for this but i thought hey its worth a try.. i figured to get lowballed and just take whatever ppl offer me since one tires still good if they need only one good tire like you said. ill try craigslist next just wanted to give zilvians a shot at this first.

215.40 is a really aggressive stretch almost something you see on vip cars. i didnt like it on my car because it made my sidewall too stiff and since i had these in the front it made me under even more than before.. id reccommend either a 215.45 or 225.45 for a x9" wheel.

lol i think its a federal thing? these were pretty stretched on my x9" so im sure that sidewall took a lot of stress.. on top of the fact that my camber was off it was almost riding on the sidewall.. imo 40 series is too small for a 17" anyways but just my 2 cents

i have 215/40 falkens on my car right now with 50psi so i know what you're talking about and i don't mind it too much. i just know that federal tires run wider and i wanted a tire that could cover the lip so that's why i asked you if the lips were still exposed with these tires on.
as you may know, there pretty much isn't such a thing as a 225/40/17 tire so that's another reason i'm asking. a 45 series tire is too tall for what i'm going for.

ohh i see then. well from what i remember the lip is still exposed with a fed 215.40.. but i believe its barely exposed.. sorry i cant get any more pics since i already got new tires put on my wheels..
