View Full Version : SR20 #3 Injector plug not working

Hey guys I just got done putting in my new SR today, it fired right up.

Only problem is that it is missing due to the #3 injector plug isnt "sending" or whatever you want to call it, there's no power going to it.

At first we thought it was the injector, but now hopefully the injector is okay and its just the plug.

Anyone ever have this problem?

Please post up any ideas i'd like to get it fixed this week.

Most problems are typically related to wiring. Test injector harness for power (you can temporarily power up with a jumper) and Test #3 injector signal wire for continuity from the injector to the ecu (i think early sr is pin #103). Check all ground locations for proper connection.

If you are lazy, you can also swap the ecu with a known good unit to verify the ecu is not the problem.

the red wire should have switched (IGN) power. aka with the key to ON

the green wire is a switched ground, controlled by the ECU. only way to really test that output is to put an LED across the two wires and see if it blinks while the motor is running.

sometimes this is fairly overlooked, but check for corrosion on the contacts...you said not sending so how did you measure that? the other guys gave some good info as well

You can buy a noid light, it's basically an LED that plugs into the injector plug to test for signal. They sell kits pretty cheap in tool specialty stores, great diagnostic tool to have on hand.

This is exactly what I used, it didn't light up on #3 and it lit up on all other plugs.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Then you either have a cut wire or bad ECU. Check continuity between the plug and ECU, if it's good then the ECU driver is bad. If it's not, start unwrapping harness.

Anybody ever have this problem after getting your ECU flashed from Enthalpy (Enjuku)?

My harness worked before so im thinking its the ECU.

well if it worked before and no other change has been made, then suspect the ecu. try substituting with another known good one, and if you are good to go, send it back to them

That was the plan, thanks guys!

I'll post up what happens in case anyone has this problem in the future.

I'll be trying another ecu this thursday.

good call. handle cody.
