i know theres a bunch of threads like this one but they just dont have the answers im lookin for. ok what i got is an 89 with a 93dohc. its got the digital and hud and dohc cluster..everything works in the dash except the speedo..stays at 0 when driving..so i replaced vss and its still the same..it doesnt fade away or any of that..i just cant seem to figure it out..
so any help would be nice..and dont tell me to use the magic box "search"

Oopps double post.
Most likely you'll need to change the HUD. I hear that SOHC HUD will work with Ka24de, and Vice a versa. I had about 4 HUD's and they all failed on me. So the link above will actually save you the troubles.

thanks...but i just found out that my vss wires are fucked up in the engine harness..(open circuit)but if thats not the problem ill just replace the cluster but if it is do you think i can jsut swap the engine harness??i got another uncut harness..plus i got electric fans and i want to know if any wires from the harness lead to the fans.

you don't need to replace the cluster
just swap the tach from a DOHC

tach?? the rpm tach? from dohc ones..i have one dohc revs up to 69 right?but when i checked my ecu code i got #14 for vehicle speed sensor open circuit..an open circuit in the harness maybe a cut wire im assumin..but like i said wat if i just swap out the harness for a new one? will it fix the vss... thanks man
