Last night I did a 5-lug conversion and I think I messed up somewhere though... I start it up and my e-brake isnt working, same with my brakes. As im rolling down the driveway my car stops on its own after a few feet. And im not even touching the brakes... parked it back in the garage and jacked up the rear and start bleeding the brakes, same with the front. After that the brakes work again. So I drove the car around the block and its riding rough and it makes lots of weird noises... My driveway is kinda steep and I dont even have to pull up the e-brake or put it in gear without it rolling down...
:tinhat:
Anyone know whats up?

Are your calipers bolted down correctly?
Your brakes shouldn't have changed at all if you didn't mess with them during the install...

You used Ichiba hubs? Used? New? I've heard Ichiba being bad, but nothing like this.

I've had ichiba front hubs for 2 years and almost 20,000 miles. never had a problem.

the pads might be sticking... I'll have to take them apart again and this time ill try to grease the pins. A few of my friends told me to do the same.
and I bolted everything correct, ive redone everything about 5 times now. I'll see what happens in the morning.

I took off the pins and put some grease on them. still have the same problem though.. I think my rotors might be rubbing on something...
when I jack up the font and spin the wheels it spins fine and quite until I get to a certain part of the rotor. after that I cant even spin the wheel anymore. That might also be causing my rotors to rub on the metal caliper clips too...

that kinda happend to me when i had forgot to switch out the bolts that hold the caliper to the spidle, i think the 300zx one are shorter or longer i cant remember, im just throwing that out there

Well, took everything out again and I noticed one of the metal clips will not come off. Its stuck where the rotor was rubbing...

This is the part of the rotor thats rubbing. and it doesnt look too good...

and I have to push the caliper out like this (\/) for it to not rub. and ofcourse i cant pull it out anymore once i tighten up the bolts...
