Hey guys,
I tried searching around the forum and didn't find anything regarding my question: Is there anything I can do to increase my suspension travel on my Megan Coilovers (Street)?
Without thinking, I purchased and installed the 6K springs in the fronts hoping I'd get more suspension travel in the fronts but noticed no difference.
My issue is that I'm trying to pass my car for a reconstruction permit; I live in Hawaii and that's what they require when doing any suspension work on your vehicle. Two inches of suspension travel is required.
After installing the Megan Coilovers I noticed that there was almost no suspension travel at stock preload. I tried lowering the dampener to the softest it'll go and still nothing.
I'd literally stand on the fender above the strut and jump up and down on it and still nothing; I'm about 140lbs. Hoping that softer springs would make it easier for me to push the fender down, i bought the replacement springs.
Now that I've wasted money on putting the softer springs in, what else can I do to allow for the suspension to travel. The rears have travel, I can push down on the bumper and make it move. And they are the same spring rate as the fronts and still nothing. You'd think with the softer springs it'd be easier to work with.. NOPE!
Please help!
