S13 wire tuck, eliminating fuse boxes etc

does anybody have an in depth wire thread or post that shows eliminating fuse boxes and cleaning up the engine harness. Ive searched and there was nothing in depth, just pic's of wires every where and just finished products.

It is alot of work. I did it and it took me a long time.
The FSM will be your best source of info.
Just make sure you double check your connections because searching gremlins is a nightmare.

No point in a writeup since everyone does it differently, different methods, different locations to mount, etc. Way easier to do it on your own then try and copy someone else and make mistakes.

but it would be nice if someone actually did a comprehensive write up on this. How to eliminate what where how optionally etc... the process... requirements... it would be great.

fuse boxes behind dash or inside glove box, all other wires tucked under frame rails or hidden under the intake manifold.

extend wires, tuck them, done.

A wiring diagram would help more than any writeup.

ok ok heres some things to think about.

- its mainly for looks, so some people tuck in fender wells from the engine bay or from the fire wall.
- many/most of those cars don't have a/c or abs and probably not much behind the dash.(ie civics, vw, non-emissions, carb'd cars)
- wires are hidden from view from the top, so wires may be tucked on the bottom of the frame rail, exposed to elements/low car etc.(some relocate battery to the back with live wire outside! the car)
- some people do mini tuck, they extend a few harnesses, get most* of it hidden, could be a few brackets or zip ties that need to be relocated.
- more serious tucks require removal of whole wiring harness and custom wiring/lengthen etc.
- tuck a few wires and go from there, use same paths so all wires are together.
- use black loom to mask appearance or hoses/shrinkwrap

good start would be to move battery to the trunk and the fuse box from front left corner by headlight to rear left by the firewall.

move windshield water tank out of the engine bay or remove completely.
move overflow tank to bumper/fenderwell area, or to near firewall/under car, etc.
radiator cooling panel
different distributor setup, or?
move power steering tank or remove powersteering all together.

Plenty of information on this if you bother to look for it. Everyone knows what's required for an engine to run, delete what's left. Simple.
