So sad. Kuroi is my favorite driver of all time. He will be missed and will never be forgotten. I send my condolences to his family, friends, and fans. Gonna have a mini memorial in his memory soon. He was such a cool guy when I met him at irwindale, even though I could barely understand what he was saying when I was talking to him lol. I will never forget him.

yea found out about this early this afternoon, completely crushed my day. Absolute fav driver in D1, even tho he only clinched one win his whole career, he had such an amazing fan base. People love him and his all out smokey driving style, he will be greatly missed.

I'm really sad. The first time I ever saw Kuroi San was when he briefly drove for Signal Auto. He left such an awesome impression on me with his driving because it was so bad ass. RIP

Drift society Vol. 1 was the first time i knew of Kuroi. Rolling in the Signal Auto cars with Chunky Bai. Shit blew me away how cool two almost identical cars looked drifting side by side.

Watching that bright yellow coupe throwing tons of smoke around Irwindale, I feel like I saw Haley's Comet.

I'll miss seeing him drive. R.I.P.

Atsushi Kuroi will definitely be missed. He was a really nice guy, and is one of the early top drifters to come out of the Osaka area. He was an excellent driver for his sponsors Origin, Koyo, and Toyo Tires, and his driving style has already fostered the newest generation of drivers.

He was really competitive at everything he did. He was an excellent bowler (like almost Pro Bowling status), and loved working out at the gym. I remember hearing stories about the massive weight he could lift doing bicep curls, and he would always challenge people to arm wrestle.
