Pick me up in Huntington Beach and drop me off in Huntington or Anaheim and I'll help. As long as you have all the stuff for the swap because I don't wanna get stuck out there because you forgot to get the flywheel bolts or slave cylinder or something.

cant understand a work of your post.

sounds like you didnt get the "teeth" lined up.
it will sit there with the tip of the shaft(lol) sitting in there, but you need to get all those teeth lined up too.
thats the pain.
sometimes you get in right away, sometimes it takes a half hour.

yeah, you and a friend under the car for an hour trying to line it up and slip it in

It really can be a pain. You need to have the transmission lined up to a perfect angle with the engine.
If the rear of the transmission is a little low, it wont line up right.
It can be really frustrating.

If that is for sure whats happeneing.
But it sounds like it.

Okay heres how you can get the tranny on. Loosen the engine motor mounts bolts but do not take them completely off. Jack up the front of the engine so that it leans back towards the firewall a little.

This will give you more tranny clearance when you are under the car. Once under, line up the tranny with the motor. Some bearing grease can make the tranny go in easier.
