Ive been doing some searching and am still unclear on what kind of wiring exactly is involved besides the lower harness. Ive been looking over the website S14 Tranny Swap - Electrical Connections (http://www.ka24development.com/cwilfert/S14_tranny_swap_electrical.html)and Im wondering is that everything or do i not need to do some of that because it will be covered in the main engine harness and new ecu?

again i have an Auto S14 and putting in a manual S14 SR

Thanks for any input

All you need to make the car start...with respect tot he chassis wiring...is the clutch interlock wiring (that big plug behind the fusebox, the top one).

Here's how mine used to look:

Just splice those 2 wires together, easy stuff.

The rest is ECU-specific, other than the reverse light wires...which are on your trans harness (keep the auto one, and just splice it onto the new trans reverse sensor...and it will just plug-in tot he 3rd plug down, shown above.

BTW, you like that red wire for an extra ground? Wow, that was a LONG time ago on my car (2001?).

maybe you try using the "search" option under google....jeese, some people you just have to draw everything out for them!
