im using a blitz Full Auto Turbo Timer(FATT) with a TT harness.

okay so, the TT turns on and I go threw the different modes it has but wont start countdown mode.

I have the 2 black ground wires grounded in the same place, and the (purple)wire to the handbrake I have mounted there, and I have also tried just simply grounding the purple wire(still shuts off when the key is taken out)

sometimes when starting the car I see the turbo timer is countdown mode but the key is in,so it doesn't turn off when finished counting down

WHAT THE HECK AN I OVER LOOKING?? IT'S GOTTA BE SOMTHING SIMPLE, RIGHT!?

again the TT comes on ,but shuts off immediately when key is removed

The only thing I could think is that you didn't properly wire the TT to the ignition.

well, the TT harness only plugs into the ignition one way. BUT there is an extra wire coeming from the TT harness that i havent messed with.( i thought it was for feature my car dosent have ,like alarm or something eles.

should i just try grounding the extra wire that comes off the TT harness?

I don't know if you bought it used, but here is a link to the installation manual:

Did you wire it to something that doesnt have power when the key is out? Maybe try wiring in a dedicated power wire from the fuse box.

^ are you talking about wiring the hand brake wire to the fuse box?

So let me get this straight. When you take out the key, instead of running the allotted amount of time, the engine immediately shuts off. Does the turbo timer turn off too?

yeah, both cut off when key is removed. i now have the "hand brake" wire gounded off and when i turn the ignition ON it will begin countdown. but thats the only time it will go to countdown stage

Silly question, but do you pull the handbrake all the way up when you park? On my Evo, I have a turbo timer and it will not countdown unless the e-brake is pulled all the way up. Maybe your hand brake is out of adjustment and it isn't making the connection to tell your TT it's pulled?
