Is the kouki taillight lower garnish different than the regular usdm rear taillights lower garnish?

if you are talking about the 13 fastback then yes it comes out further than the us one. thats why one comes with the kit and a new key mechanism because its all different.

it's different. but not necessarily necessary.

It really depends how anal you are.

The USDM garnish will sit shallower a few mm's and won't be flush with the taillight in comparison to the proper kouki piece... the contours are off a tad as well, but you can make it work.

its differnt but stock one works fine.

I use my original metal garnish peice and it looks fine, only time you can tell its not perfect fit is if you are right up by the car looking at it.

Not worth the $90 in my opinion.

I'll see how I like it with the stock shroud on tomorrow... Still not going to put them on for a couple months till I can park in the garage for fear of backing up into something...
