I just got the car back from the dealer with a new ACT clutch and new flywheel. It drives well and the response is perfect. The only thing bothering me is when I'm in 3rd and 4th gear driving at about 3.5rpm or higher. I'll let go of the gas and cruise in those gears when rolling down a hill or etc. As I'm doing this, the car will make a constant "Wshhhhh" noise as if something is spooling up if you know what I mean. I don't have turbo, so that's not it, lol. Not sure what it is. Is it because the flywheel is 11lb.'s and the clutch is brand new? The noise will go away when I push in the clutch pedal. The noise doesn't appear to be doing anything bad, but I can hear it when my windows are down, so I'm guessing you can hear it from outside.
On the bright side, I installed my injen intake. Only half of it right now, just the short-ram. I have to leave the cold-air extention for next week when finals are all taken care of. I'm hoping to install the exhaust tonight when I'm done writing a few essays. How hard is it to install the cold-air extension and a cat-back exhaust? Please say that it's easier than installing the short-ram. Well, the short-ram was easy, but it was a bitch taking out the stock airbox/intake piping. Oh yeah almost forgot. On the shortram intake, where the filter connects to that metal piece injen gives us, You're supposed to put the airflow sensor into that little 3/4 nipple right? The rubber tubing that injen gave me doesn't seem to fit tightly into that little nipple. It fits the sensor perfectly, but when I put the sensor into that nipple, it slips right back out. I solved the problem by wrapping the rubber tube with a rubberband and jamming it into the nipple. Will this be all right and not fall out?
