A lot of Koukis arent koukis so we have to make sure they are legit. We should keep an online inventory of a lot of stuff for 240s. I also want to get crackin on the 240SX Guide I never finished. Hopefully I can integrate all this info into there.

Traded my old KA-T 95 SE for my 97 SE w/o a sunroof or ABS but was auto. I did a 5-speed swap, then did a S14 SR swap, and am now doing a LS1 swap/full track build.

Took that picture right around when I bought it in the beginning of July 2009. Still looks more or less the same, just different things installed or replaced here and there including fog lights. Still need to ditch the ghey dual halogens and get those nice factory projectors that it should already have (anyone wanna trade?) and somehow get rid of that nasty front bumper gap. Coilovers will be coming soon.

Are your headlights diy black housed?

Yes, the chrome pieces unscrew with a tiny philips head screwdriver so you don't even have to tape anything off.

I have a Kouki and I think full Navan Zenki w/ clear headlight covers looks way better than any Kouki.

I would probably trade front ends with somebody if Kouki's weren't so rare.

She's put away in storage atm (winter/school) but plans for next summer are KA-T. Have all the parts except for a turbo and gauges. Also going 5 lug and baller wheel hunting next summer. Lowered on Stance GR+ Pro coilovers, and yes I know I need side skirts...

Hey I saw your car on craigslist a while back, did you end up selling it or keeping it?

Im the guy who bought it. Im really good friends with the seller so I traded him my show maxima+cash on top for the kouki. I have been working on the car and started changing things. I tinted the orange on the tails red, got a leather shift boot, upgraded the stereo, full detail, installed an alarm that the pager works 2 miles away, bigger tires with closer fitment and fixed the alignment. Next im powdercoating the wheels flat gold, getting a new momo comp steering wheel, NRG 2.0 quick release and locking cap and ordering a kazz 2 way to replace the VLSD.

Why is this thread so dull? I guess by pure production numbers Zenki's get more love but come on! Seems like the Zenki lovers are on a name to name basis... seems like a good idea to get a bit more personal.

My name is Simon and I'm a 21 year old Mechanical Engineering Student from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I'm mostly a lurker on here but it really kills me that the Kouki thread is a dead zone. I spend all of my money on my car and school, yet most of my parts are in boxes. I only get to drive my car for four months a year due to weather issues. I'd like to get into drifting but there is no place to do it legally within 6 hours driving distance. I'll likely man up and drive it sometime next summer though.

My Kouki, the day after I brought her home (drove from Minneapolis to Winnipeg, 7 hour drive so excuse the bugs)

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I was hoping to have some updates tonight, but there were a few hang ups and WTF moments that occurred. Hopefully the exhaust will be done by Thursday. Then hopefully I can go over the car with a fine toothed comb so everything can be triple checked, then it will be a matter of dealing with the interior/interior wiring/battery box, tuning it, getting the wheel fitment functional, and painting it.

I am hoping the car is at least mechanically sound/tuned by the 30th of October, I ideally want it running fine and what not before the 23/24th so I can paint it that weekend.

The next local drift event is sometime in mid November, so that should give me some time to amass some more tires and get all of the kinks worked out.

I think simply "The Kouki S14 Thread" gets the point across.

I have some extra rear valances if you're looking to buy some :D.

I looked on Tenzo's website and I don't even see 19s offered for that wheel. I can say from having fit 19s on a S15 that getting them to look right on a S-chassis takes a lot of work, and you'll have some rubbing issues if you are tucking wheel - which is basically what is needed for them to work, haha.

I think a 19/19 or 18/19 set up can be pulled off with SUPER aggressive aero, but stock body, mild/OEM aero should stick with 17/17, 17/18, or 18/18 IMO.

Sounds good man. Make sure someone takes a video at that event! Btw, how hard of a process was widening your wheels? Expensive? Long wait? Worth it overall? I'm still weighing my options at the moment for wheels....

My only suggestion for a thread name would be 'Kouki Class' because Kouki's are just so damn classy. You could also make it lame and ever so slightly clever by calling it 'Kouki-ng Class' or something along those lines. Any name change would be appreciated though...

hi. my name is shinchu, and I'm a kouki-holic. :naughty:

no pics yet b/c i just found out today that facebook got blocked at work. that's where my pics are. its a 95 base auto to manual, and ALL my shit is slowly making its way on from my 95 kouki converted silvia i had in japan.
eventually it will be a 400hp SR, full aero, safety21 caged, fire-breathing, rurounimidnight-esque ass kicker. its halfway there atm...

dammit... this would be so much better if i could post the pics...

oh yeah i bought it from kevin aka mephisto who also did the auto -> 5sp swap for me.

oh and my shit doesnt sag. i brought my headlight/support bracket doohickeymabob from my car in japan.

I'd figure I would give them a try since they were so damn cheap...I didn't like worrying about rocking nice wheels anymore. Too many damn pot holes, messed up roads, construction, and damn theives. Figured less worries for my DD.
