my water temp gauge has been acting up recently and the other day the car shut down and dies on idle. i'm thinking i need to replace my temp sensor on my s13 SR. is it the same as the KA that i can get at vatozone? thanks

.... that question is hysterical
i believe your looking for the "Coolant Gauge Temp Sensor" yes you can get on at any local auto parts store, but that in no way would effect the way your motor runs, your problem is else where.

what was your gauge doing? did you over heat,

theres two sensors genius.

his gauges are acting up, but the other sensor WILL affect how/if the car runs

a few weeks ago my gauge showed i was over heating then my upper hose blew up. once that hose was replaced my gauge was fine and rngine ran smooth. couple days ago i'm assuming the other sensor went cause it wont hold an idle. thanks for the info guys

well i had time to replace it today and now it cranks but doesn't wanna turn over. it gets really close but keeps on sputtering. i checked and refilled all fluids and assured the maf plug was plugged tight. awesometown

well your gauge wasn't acting up. like i thought...
your motor overheated, and blew up.

do a compression check, your head-gasket is blown, hopefully the rest is ok.
have the head checked when its off.
