I recently bought and installed a set of bi-xeons into my DOT SAE approved H4 housings on my 91 240sx. I am unhappy with the complete lack of cutoff and light direction. I then went searching and found these:

PROJECTOR LEN KIT Angel Eye E46 M3 TSX H4 D2S HID XENON : eBay Motors (item 110478717967 end time Feb-06-10 21:17:47 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PROJECTOR-LEN-KIT-Angel-Eye-E46-M3-TSX-H4-D2S-HID-XENON_W0QQitemZ110478717967QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMoto rs_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item19b90b740f #ht_5989wt_939)

So my question is, would these be worth the time and money to retrofit them into my housings?

you probably wont get much positive info on them, so just get them and find out.

i was looking at this for a while but it was much more pricey 2 months ago... I was wondeing of this would fit niside a zenki light. And, the halo i believe is a seperate wire or something so its optional. halo is pretty gay too imo

From what I recall it's not excellent like a real hid retrofit. Kind of performs like a car that comes with halogen projectors and you install hid's in em. The halo wire is separate indeed.

I have kinda gone with the opinion that if its crazy cheap it probably won't do what I want. Also the amount of misspellings in that post lead me to believe the quality of the product might not be as high as you want. Take some pictures of the cutoff so we can all see.

what's the price difference between this and a pair of TSX or 350z projectors?

go for it, why not

Man I am by no means an expert on hids or anything but I have done a ton of research regarding retrofits and such for my kouki s14. Anyways first off you really need to get on hidplanet.com as well as theretrofitsource.com. Between those two sites you should be able to learn anything you ever wanted to know. Now to be more direct on your topic. I personally just got done retrofitting some e46 m3 projectors into my s14. Now I haven't gotten them on the car yet but just testing them I can already tell they are gonna be great. If you are interested in trying out another projector, then I would HIGHLY suggest you look into the fx-r projectors that are sold on hidplanet. These are a hybrid of the fx35 projectors and so far they offer the best cutoff and output for a bi-xenon projector that is currently available.

As for your current setup, what projectors did you go with enitially? Also are you using the stock glass headlight? If so this is probably your main problem with cutoff and such. I have learned that the stock glass is so thick that it tends to cause glare and distort the cutoff. Also all the lines that are in the glass don't really help with those two factors either.

Just my two cents based off of my personal research. Hope this helps.
