malfunction code #36

Have any of you experienced malfunction code #36?

If so, how did you fix it?

EGRC-BPT Valve... That's not a common part to go bad. If I'm correct someone used to sell an EGR block-off plate. I did with out it on my Ford Probe, and never got a check engine light. I'd suggest to reset the ECU and see if it throws it again.
