hey guys/gals. so i just finished installing a new steering wheel (JDM S14 Kouki). I've installed everything correctly to my knowledge and ensured everything was straight and spot on during installation.
When i turn the steering wheel either direction, it's fighting back, as in not a smooth turn. It makes a clicking noise when i turn it and it's rough. It's not the same clicking noise as the turn signals but possibly a more louder click. :bite:
Also, i realized that my power steering fluid might be leaking since I saw a fresh puddle of something under my car. The car is a 95 SE and hasn't been moved since Thanksgiving. Could the reason for the harsh turning be because my tires have been squared for not moving since then?
What can i do to fix the issue? I've already re-installed it twice with the same results.

Well no power steering fluid will equate to a turning battle like you seem to be talking about.
That being said, when your power steering leaks out (be it because of hoses/bad pump/whatever), you usually hear more of an increasing whine when you turn. I do not know what may be causing your clicking that you hear.
Figure out why the fluid is leaking, fix whatever it may be (usually a bad hose), then see if that helps the turning issue. Once you fix your steering issue, then address the annoyance that may be the clicking, if it still occurs.
The hose is not very expensive, but install is somewhat of a pain on 240's if you are not too experience with working on a 240. You have been around these forums for a while though, so I do not think it will be much of an issue for you. The pump would do a bit more to your wallet. Usually though, fluid leak = hose. If it is the hose, fix it asap so you can avoid causing damage to your pump.
Hope that helps! If you have a way, maybe post a video showing the clicking noise. May help someone on here diagnose it better.

Shouldn't be the wheel's problem.. sounds more like power steering problems. Drifter-M said everything really.. but if you need a mech PM me...
