Maybe if you stopped stereotyping, you would grow beyond making fun of people for the way they look or talk. I find it ironic that you are mocking speech patterns when you obviously have very little grasp of the English language (capitalization, punctuation, grammar, spelling). Have fun paying retail...

Just some kind words of advice, before this thread gets deleted or locked:

When using the word "I" do it in capital. Doing an "i" shows a lazyness on your part.

When having an "Oriental moment" it would help if you knew some real Japanese, not ebonic Japanese and the respect is given when respect is due. The Japanese culture is the highest of class, learn it, live it, behave it.

Use the spell checker. I know I am not perfect. I use the preview function and if I miss anything, I go back and edit for mistakes. Type like you are writing a resume' for a 100K a year job.

Don't get p i s s y. All it does is result in you looking like an A$$ and all those following you and flaming really should not had to have gone there.

Be sincere. In all funness, I have lived what others feel may be tall tales. In all my years, my experiences are vast. You can learn something from an old man. Listen and learn. I was born before 1960 and I have a long way to go. BTW, I have also visited Japan 7 times.

Get a college education. If you have not considered getting a degree, do it now and follow through. Life is bull$hit trying to compete in the money scheme without one. Learn a trade and be your best.

Finally, I hate to see a thread go off kilter. I feel you honestly did not take the time to learn how to fit in. I am very new here but I have war stories galore. I am not God. I am just me. I Phuck up. I am human. We that drive the Nissans have a common breath togeather. We love our cars, we love talking about them, we love improving them and we love learning about them. It is called respect for others of all races, all financial backgrounds, all creeds, all stupidity levels. Their are forum rules here. One of them is to read those rules. Some folks get their rocks off playing policeman to anyone the breaks the rules. Go for it..perhaps others will get the message.

Look, I am new here, new new. I came here because I own a 240SX, I lurked for over a year at all the forums and this was the one with the highest class and the most enthusiastic crowds that could actually teach me well.

I post what is the truth based on my personal experiences. I feel it can help folks, otherwise, I do not post.

I suggest that you look at it from a perspective that you can gain knowledge here and grow with the community.

It saddens me to see you called a racist due to your immaturity and ignorance. Ignorance is much better than stupidity. An Ignorant person does not know. A stupid person does not want to know.

The definition of insanity is:

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

I hope this helps you and I would like personally for you to become a valuable contributor to this site.

This is not a personal flame, this is simply guidance from my experience and vibe. It SHOULD mean something to you.

Well, I would be more than happy to show you around but I'm busy all day Sunday. And if I wasn't I wouldn't know the first thing to show you...lol All I ever do now is go to school and work. Ever heard of Full Sail? well, it takes almost all of my time  I've been down to West Palm once or twice...went scuba diving once. Seems like a nice place....maybe once I get my car running I'll have to go cruise down there again...

You gotta be effing kidding me! Cool Beans!

I guess you have not looked at my profile.

I was working full time at Full sail as an contract consultant (industry driven) to students that wanted advanced leadership roles in studio management. Dude, I was hanging aroud that place 12 years ago...around the Yellow stair rails.

Dude, call me if you have a moment, I have a full blown mastering facility and worked for the WB on contract over 20 years.

*snip* (please PM information like this) after 9PM EST.

Do it now if you got the time.
I am bad A$$ behing the SSL...

Lets talk, I can help you kill that course or courses. Afterall, they learned from me old school back then.

Are the HD1's still sitting on the NEVE meter bridge in studio 1? Been long time LOL

Nice to see you there attempting an education in a field I am well versed with.

Your whole post was very well thought out Bill.
Although I mostly agree with your statement, it's been my own personal experience that ignorance is the well from which racism flows. However, being ignorant implies that the person can be enlightened, and thus relieved of their narrowmindedness, I don't think that's the case with this particular individual.

I think my brief and direct original post stands.

edit: BTW me_want_s14, in what way were "asians" being "so damn stereotypical?" How can you even know who here is asian? I can think of only one name that would be a giveaway...

Yoshi, Perhaps you are correct. I feel that reform takes place when the error of a persons ways bites them into oblivia time and time again until said person is forced to give up and seek a kind of guidance that would be benificial to their fullfillment for their own sake of survivablity in a peaceful exisitance with theirself.

Some people live for punishment. I find none of them make it to their 45th birthday.

I find your logic true and your message enlightning. I also feel it is part of our duty as citizens of this globe (since we are all molecularly connected) to try to help a brother in times of need.

Perhaps their is a way for this indivual to sit in the dark and think these very words and rid himself of any torment that resides inside and advance to a higher plane, due to interaction with ones that care.....and also their are lost causes that tend to be into the habit of saying F U C K Everything they come in touch with.

My advice to him is to seek an inner peace. You must ask for it for years. It is given in increments as you earn it.

I practice the Zen Philosophy now for 26 years. I will master it in ninety thousand.

It is up to them, we are not Gods, but driven by God.

I hope he achieves some minor state of enlightenment. If so, all is not lost. At least, we try.

Yes, we always should try.

Hey, me_want_s14 , my girlfriend is Japanese and you know what she has more class than you will ever posses. You need to get out in the real world. There are a lot of people out there of many cultures and a lot of them are on this forum. You know what ? By claiming they are stereotypical you are being a stereotypical racist.
You know what else? Your attitude is the type of person that would call me a mafiosa just because I am Italian american.

Ahh, a zen student... I thought there was some familiarity if your thought patterns, they seemed very familiar. Several of my friends are followers of the path to enlightenment (me_want_s14, don't get all excited about fulfilling the stereotype, the 3 individuals I'm talking about are 2 americans of germanic descent, and a guy from italy, sorry to burst your bubble). What's the greatest (in my mind) part of the zen philosophy? The same conclusion that socrates came to 100's of years later.

The only real knowledge stems from the realization that you yourself know nothing.

I guess it's more true for some people than others hmm? ;)

Many millina after we pass this life, we are still students.
The art and philosophy of Zen dictates the more we think we know, the more we realize how little we know and the more stupid we look to ourselves for entertaining the idea of knowledge.

Sometimes you realize this by the hour (why am I typing?)

I full expect to speak little to no words, forum or otherwise within 20 years. Talking is expression. Doing is more expression.

Thank you Yoshi for the kind words.

Oh man!
I got hit with your gross overgeneralization! I feel stereotyped! Ouch man that really hurts!

So what if I have a squint that rivals eastwood.
So what if I can see through venetian blinds.
So what if I can see the sunrise first.

Wow... You guys are hurting my brain...

I am going to take some english once I get into collage. and learn to spell, and get some good grammar.

I would also like to learn Japanese and visit japan some time in the near future. I have great respect for the culture (one of my close friends is from japan (He is 15 years older then me). He has had much impact on my life in the past 4 years, I have learned much respect and honor from him....

But what do I know? I'm just some dumb 22 year old white guy..... I'm not sure what type I am tho. I know both my grandparents on my moms side came from germany.. and I have a little german on my dads side to. I duno I'll have to ask my dad next time I see him.. He traced our family all the way back to some friend of joseph smith.... (Don't ask.. its a mormon thing)

EDIT: I cant leave out our friend MR! me_want_S14... all I have to say is :mrmeph: <--- Well that's not saying much.. It was a giving!

"Culture" is a broad term that encompasses many different aspects. Japanese culture, while rich in history and full of rigid yet respectful decorum, is quite closed-minded. To be quite honest, I find that Japanese people "in general" (oh boy...) are very racist but just too polite to openly show it. Not to say that there aren't plenty of open-minded Japanese people that love the diversity that a global environment offers, but they seem to be the exception rather than the rule. Or maybe I just smell bad.
