WHAT:
--------------------------------------------------
Adapter brackets to install Evo 8/9 or STi Brembo calipers on your s-chassis.
It's bee a while coming but they're finally here
a fully R&D bracket that allows you to bolt the popular Brembo calipers to your 240.
We obtained a set of Evo and a set of STi Brembo calipers
took them completly appart and measured every conceivable feature on them
to ensure proper upright location, pad placement and rotor offset.
They're made here in the USA by us and test fitted on our cars.
FEATURES:
-------------------------------------------
- CNCd from 1018 Carbon Steel for strength
- Zinc plated to withstand corrosion
- 10.9 (Grade 8 equivalent) bolts and washers included for ease of installation
We choose these features to ensure that the brackets will
withstand the rigors of track use without compromise to safety.
PRICE AND PAYMENT:
------------------------------------------------------
The price for these is $110 wich includes paypal and shipping fees.
They will ship via US Priority Mail so it will take roughly 3-5 business days to get to you.
paypal: stmaradona at yahoo dot com
please include your username with your payment message.
NOTES:
----------------------------------------------
As some of you may know, we started on these a few months back
then stalled... and stalled... and stalled some more
here's why: in order to clear the calipers back fins
there needs to be a relief on the bracket around the upright threaded holes.
Most of the existing brackets floating around do it this way.
We weren't comfortable with this since we feel that by doing that the strength of the inner hole threads is compromised.
This could be catastrophic to someone that heavily tracks his car.
After much deliberating, we asked ourselves the question:
What would we do if these were just for ourselves?
We'd shave the back of the caliper and keep the threads on the bracket intact.
So in a nutshell that's what we did.
So you will need to shave your calipers down a bit (see pictures) to run our brackets.
We are aware that some people will be turned off by this and will choose to go a different route.
We're ok with that.
The way we see it, at the end of the day it's about doing something right.
Questions, concerns and comments are always welcomed.

Unfortunately we don't have a set of those calipers to compare.
Do you guys make the Z33 Track rotor brackets to be used with Z32 Calipers? If so, please PM me.

will these work on a Z32?
Z32 calipers are interchangeable with the s-chassis
so I would assume that they would
however we haven't actually bolted and test fitted them on a z32 to confirm
material for the STi brackets arrived
we should be knocking those out this week

i'm very interested in a product like this, but i would like it to fit z33 track rotors.
iirc, the evo rotor is 12.65" and the z33 is 12.8"
seems like it wouldn't take much to get .15" difference out of a similar design.
heck, you could probably just take your brackets and flip em 180 so that the bent part faces up instead of down and have enough clearance.
aaaaaanyways. i'm interested in that, thank you for making a cool product that many people have wanted for a long time.

wish you were 5 lug huh?
anyhow, per racingbrake.com:
Z33 Brembo 324x30mm - 12.8x1.2"
Evo 8/9 320x32mm - 12.6x1.3"
Evo X 350X32mm - 13.8x1.2" (for shits and giggles)
so yes, the z33 rotors are marginally larger but also a different thickness
that would require a redesign of the brackets
not worth it but thanks for the interest

how about a bracket to fit Z34 4 piston rotors up front and a bracket to fit
the Z34 2 piston rotors up in the back for the Z32 front/rear brakes?
people are cheap they are not going to buy brembo calipers that's why I asked.

unfortunately that's usually the case
we don't have any plans to make z34 brackets but if someone wanted them made
and brought all the hardware - calipers, rotors, pads - it could happen

So tempting. I want these kinda. I don't even have any of these Brembo's yet though.

But for $2700 you're in Brembo BBK territory
granted only for the fronts but still
you could do an Evo front (and back if you do some work) for ~$1500 if you shop carefully
and that's with 2 piece rotors.

we haven't shipped any so I would be very surprised if someone was

Thanks for the kind words Nick, let me know when you're ready
we tried running the STi brackets this past weekend in a batch plate set up
but the material proved too hard for the tooling
so we have to take a different - longer - approach
we're going to run them again in a few days after the oil blocks are done the same way we did the Evo ones
then they all will go out to plating

When will they be ready for shipment to customers?
couple of weeks I recon
they don't really take that long to make
it's just that 1018 destroys endmills so a careful approach is needed
honestly we're more preoccupied with the oil blocks at the moment since
people aren't knocking down our door for Brembo brackets

Evo 8/9 rotors for either.
are you guys ever going to make a secondary mount for the rear brakes? because that is pretty much what is holding me back from doing hydro ebrake because I would rather have a second caliper than T into the rear brake line. Also I am not cool enough to do hydro side brake anyways... But I will be pretending I'm awesome enough pretty soon soo... yeah

These brackets just mount the front calipers only, correct?
Any plans to fab brackets for the rear calipers as well?

I bought a set of SRT-8 rear calipers for front but no one is willing to measure them from center to center hole I'm 90% sure they are the same as the EVO/STI except they use a thinner rotor which a SVT Cobra has a similar offset.
With that being said I was under the impression that the STI fronts had the same bolt pattern as the Evo is that true?
Also make some for the rear!!!! I bought a set for the rear but I didn't like the idea of drilling new holes where holes weren't before and tapping it. It doesn't appear safe to me. I'm thinking about trying to make them myself but heck if you guys are using carbon steel I'd rather buy it from you. I was just going to use mild.
Also I'm new to this forum just joined today I'm actually have been part of Nico a few months though so I'm not a total :newbie: (also usto do everything the hard way that is figuring it out myself so glad forums are around now)

correct

none at the moment

z32 conversion lines work, or have stainless ones custom made.

Well the STi/EVO patterns are very similar but not enough
to make one bracket work for both like we originally wanted to
so my guess would the SRT calipers would need their own bracket made aswell
With that being said I was under the impression that the STI fronts had the same bolt pattern as the Evo is that true?
no, they don't

see my response above
only way I can see us making brackets for the rears is if someone would
be willing to bring us calipers and rotors to measure and test fit with
we already spent a good chunk of money developing
these brackets -3 sets or calipers, rotors, etc
and frankly the interest isn't high enough for us to develop a rear solution
since z32 rears work well as it is.

we're done making the oil blocks for the other group buy
and now our attention we'll be placed on getting these finished
so expect them done and ready to ship in about a week's time
we also decided to drop the price on these to $110 paypaled/shipped
since it's been brought to our attention most of the 240 community isn't 5 lug.:ughd:

I got my sti brackets in yesterday. Very impressed customer here. Brackets feel extremely heavy duty. I am so glad these were made out of steel instead of aluminum. I'll be installing these as soon as I finish all the other crap I have going on.
Everyone! Buy these. Much better design than other ones out there.

Great looking product! I may be able to help.
I can provide for larger front rotors:
-350z front track rotors
-evo brembo's (seems you have already)
and for rear R&D:
-evo brembo rear caliper
-300z rear rotor
this would allow you to atleast measure for future front brackets if your intrested and will be all you need for the "in demand" rear brembo adapter. All I ask is for a complimentary set of adapters and shipping paid for....

for the front you just need
brackets made,
sti/evo brembos,
evo rotors(sti rotors hat wont fit),
evo pads(if you use sti pads then you will need to turn the rotors down a bit for it to fit).
and i use z32 steel-braided brake lines that i already had on.
