I have some 26mm z32 calipers that I am going to install on my 95 auto 240sx. My concern is if I need to also install the z32 BMC if you are only doing z32 conversion in the front. I have read the write-ups on doing the z32 brake swap but no really clear answer. I would preferably like input from someone who has done the z32 swap only on the front, and what the pro's and con's of also installing the z32 bmc.

well, the jdm s14 k's (atleast the kouki i think) came with 30mm 300zx brakes up front with normal s14 brakes in the rear (same as s13 just 5 lug) and i am pretty sure, well almost positive the BMC of the jdm s14 k's is NOT a z32 master.
if you go all around, its a good idea to get the BMC.
i am running jdm s14 all around on my s13 (with the 30 mm front 300zx brakes) and it feels great. I am gonna look up the proper BMC for it, or possibly just go 300zx all around and rock that BMC for it.

You have an auto, so it's got the bigger 15/16" master cylinder already, the same size as the early NA Z32s, and you have smaller rear calipers.
It will be fine.
There's also a million threads on this subject already. No need to make a new one.

I haven't done the Z32 brake upgrade (yet), but I can offer some help by way of a pretty comprehensive write-up I've read on it several times. Basically, since you're going to be putting larger 4-piston brakes on your car as opposed to the stock 1-piston, you'll be putting more stress on your stock BMC, which will cause the stock brake lines to expand more under braking and give you a softer, "spongy" pedal feel. By upgrading to the Z32 BMC, it will eliminate the sponginess and you will have less pedal travel.
If you want to look at the write-up I mentioned, here's the link:

Listen to projectRDM and to people who have actually DONE the damn swap/upgrade. I have Z32 iron brake calipers on the front (only) and works perfect with my Stock S14 BMC, keep in mind most Canadian model S14 cars have the 15/16" master cylinder. Also when you install your brake caliper make sure the bleed nipple is on top.
Steve.
you can play it off without the z32 bmc but i would recommend getting it later on. i've ran 30mm calipers on my s14 without it and it was good.
