Its time for me to swap out the 20 year + calipers that are currently on my s13 and wanted something that is more agressive at stopping. Im on 5 lug and running on 88rotors, roto and pads all around. What caliper upgrade can I go for a direct bolt on but with more stopping power. I hear q45 on 4lugs is a nice upgrade but I was unsure if that would work with my 5lug conversion and also using 88rotors.

Thanks

z32 or q45 but you need to get rotors though. If you gonna daily drive it most of time just stay on the stock calipers, if they're leaking buy em used ( dirt cheap )

it all depends what you plan on doing with your car. but most importantly, your budget.

I dont really want to buy new rotors since these rotors were just purchased last year and barely even drove it.

What I had in mind was to upgrade my caliper with another set of calipers that is bolt on and would still work with my rotors but more aggressive stopping power.

Car is weekend queen and some track time.

Thanks for the input.

q45 ftw. Cheap, plenty, and superb stopping power. Good luck trying to find an alternative caliper to use the stock rotors and at the same time, trying to save money.

q45 calipers = $45 @ local pick-n-pull, or MAYBE 60 online
rebuilt kit = $20 (for both calipers)
new brake pads = $60
88rotors = $100

So easy, a caveman can do it.
