I searched but found nothing that helped.

Okay this is what is going on. On occasion my cars driver side headlight would get stuck in the up positon. This was not very common and it would usually go down after hitting the headlight retract button a few times.

Next I installed a sleepy eye controller. I used a thread posted on ziptied for intructions on the intallation. After doing this the one headlight seemed to get stuck much more often. I figured the motor was going bad and took it apart, recleaned all of the connections, regreased everything and put it back together. After that the headlight worked great for about a week and a half then got stuck again. So I repeated the process and it started working again.

Most recently it did the same thing so I cleaned it again (as usual). I drove to work and turned off my headlights but the driver side was stuck again. I pushed the retract switch a couple times then it went down. I tested it again and it was stuck. I then spun the motor by hand and it went through a cycle and came back up. I turned on my headlights and the driver side bulb was not working (low or high beam) and now both motors dont move at all.

After ripping apart all of the wireing in the wheel well and fixing some wires that had hit my wheel the problem was still there. One of the relays on the driver side clicks when the headlights are turned on and the other two do nothing. THe black relay in the middle gets warm (grounding problem?) but does nothing. It clicks though if u unplug it then plug it back on. After messing with wireing for three hours both headlights worked again?????? but both motors do nothing?????

NOtes

-Driver side headlight would get stuck
-Driver side headlight stopped working (not bulb)
-Both motors stopped working
-Headlight lights up again????? but motors still do nothing
-replaced headlight switch, tested all relays, fuses and still nothing
-One relay just gets warm but doesnt click. (grounding issue?)

Any ides? I have searched and tried everything on the nicco forum but it didnt work. Any help would be great.

flip the wires to the motor, you are gonna have to extend the left side to reach the right light, and just unwrap the harness to make your left reach the right side. That will eliminate the power getting supplied issue, you should know now, if its power, or motor

Im not sure if I misunderstand you but both headlight motors are not working at all now. THey dont go up or down

I checked the plugs to the headlight motor with a test light and I dont think any of the wires had power.
